So far so good!! I’ve had it in my tank for about 2 weeks now. It was bigger than expected, but once in the tank, you don’t really notice. I don’t particularly like these disposable filter setups, but I needed something quick for a 5 gallon hospital tank I was setting up for a sick fish. You will have to get a new filter every 45 days or so. Rinse the filter for 5-10 seconds before putting in first. This worked perfectly. It’s pretty quiet, but does vibrate the surface. I like the corner design a lot, it utilizes that space many don’t use instead of being right dead center. You can make the flow higher or slower, and that part worked for me. The suction cups are very strong. There was no leakage, and easy to set up.Also please remember to research what size tank your fish needs. The only fish that should be using a 5 gallon are minnows or shrimps! Betta fish need a bigger tank. Will I survive? Yes. Will it thrive? No.

Buyer beware! Decent filter, but unfortunately, the filter replacements are unavailable, which makes the unit ineffective. Have to buy a whole new filter set/up due to not being able to purchase replacement filters.

Installed the filter today and it definitely cleaned up the aquarium just fine. I was going to take off a star but realized this is probably not the manufacturers fault but I believe it was too strong and it sucked my beta fish to the filter and sadly my fish passed away. I do advise to monitor the strength of it and hopefully this does not happen to anyone else but it is honestly a great and quiet filter!

We use the filter in an axolotl tank. It is awesome. Very quiet. Only complaint is that the filter base shows a small crack, already.
