For some reason the finger piece I received to help push the button in has the flat sides on the wrong side. Should be in line with the finger assist. The photo shows my old housing with the Finger assist and it should face where the hole is which will hook to close the glove box? I just used my old one with the new lock housing, works fine. Maybe someone can respond as to the issue..

As an added bonus, these keys even start my boat so now I have spare boat keys! The old one was sticking and made it hard to open, this easy install took me 2 minutes and latches perfect. Cheap fix!

It’s nice to be able to lock the glove box on my RMAX, even if only to keep the honest people honest. This locking latch fits perfectly, works smoothly, and looks like a factory part. Yamaha should have used this latch instead of the gritty feeling non-locking one that comes in the RMAX.

Glove box door latch/lock on 1977 Mazda Cosmo failed. With minor adjustment, the new unit was successfully installed. I'm very happy with the result --looks and operates as good as the OEM latch.

Our old 1980s boat had a twist key lock to open and shut the glove box but it sucked because you never knew if it was locked and it would flop open. This locking push button style worked perfect to replace it I just had to drill a bigger hole and it works like a breeze!

Used this in an old Jeep's glove box. Easy to mount and seems durable, and keeps the glove box door closed, even with heavy bouncing and jarring driving off-road.
