I would have given this a 5 out of 5, except it arrived as a not-new item. The shipping box was in perfect condition, but the product box was dented and torn. Inside, I found the product components haphazardly placed and everything was covered in dust. There was no documentation, which seems suspect. This one very much appears to have been a return. I hope I received everything. The torch works excellently, except that filling it is a bit messy. Using a canister that has been fine on many other devices, this device won't mate to the nozzle well, and that results in some fuel spillage and spray while filling.

Pictured are the two included nozzles and a comparison of the precision tip to a Ronson MDX.So I've been needing a slightly larger torch than my little Ronson MDX but not quite as large as the propane torch in the garage and this seems to fit the bill. Very easy to ignite and adjust with a simple but effective lock lever. It does seem though that it maxes out pretty quickly and most of the adjustment knob turn doesn't change anything. At first I was a bit surprised at how thick this thing was but it makes sense to fit a decent amount of butane for that large flame. It's ignited and worked every time, I have no doubts about it continuing to do so for a while. The inclusion of two different tips is nice but the output flame ends up being kind of similar. You can tell the difference in the hot blue section but it's still dumping a ton of loose butane regardless of the tip. My main complaint is that I was hoping that the "precision" tip would have a larger tight output because the blue hot part ends up not being much larger than my smaller torch.I'll probably just keep this in the kitchen for charring things and stick to a larger propane torch for any real work. Hopefully the pictures help yall decide if this is the type of torch for you.One thing to note is that my flame overall is a lot more orange than another reviewer's. I filled my butane up until it spat so it should be full. Perhaps my butane just isn't as good and is causing my poorer results (using an old can of Ronson brand butane).

Solder-It Pro-Torch is well designed with outstanding craftsmanship. Its lightweight feel makes it easy to use and its sturdy base allows freestanding for hands-free operation.Shipped fast. Packaged nicely.Kit includes torch, 2 torch tips ( single or triple flame choice) and instructions.Provides easy ignition with a turn and press of a button to get a nice pinpoint flame. Also can use the thumb switch to lock into position.Easy to fill ( and refill) the tank with butane. ( Butane must be purchased separately).Attaching the nozzles are easy and they do seat firmly, no leaks.Priced reasonably for such a well crafted, powerful flame that is also travel friendly for on-the-spot DIY projects.Would most certainly recommend.

The ability to control and taper the flame with the removable web-shaped nozzle and fuel release control is what makes this butane torch most outstanding. Managing fire is always challenging, but managing fire is also a lot of fun. The fun factor on this fire starter is big.The unit is weighted well, with a solid sturdy base. It looks very impressive for the barbeque parties, especially with the piezo-electric spark to start the flame. But, this isn't just a fun lighter, it is capable of being used as a craft and DIY soldering tool with great flame control and intensity. It can hold enough fuel to last a good while doing the things it can do.

Pretty sure I received a used product. The instructions state to inspect before assembly, but mine was already assembled. Additionally, it looked very dusty and dirty and had some scratches on it.

As a low voltage engineer and design specialist, I often find myself in situations that don’t have available electrical power so when I have connections to solder or apply heat shrink, I’m scrambling for battery operated devices. This butane powered torch solves that problem and can provide quick heat without the need for power. The tank was easy to fill and holds a good amount of fuel, reducing the need for regular refills or running out too soon like the smaller versions do.This torch comes with a couple torch ends so you can choose between a single targeted flame or a triple split which would come in handy for brazing or general area heating. I could see this being handy of food items too such as Crème Brule or toasted coconut macaroons.I use the single flame spout and the adjustable locking flame control is great to set up the perfect flame size for small to large job needs.Controls are easy to operate with a press to ignite and a slide thumb switch to lock operation on and a press to release. The foot stand is nice and wide and provides good support to keep the torch upright which is critical during the cooldown process after use.The ends change out easily with a good quality thread that doesn’t provide any resistance that would cause a cross thread.Great addition to my tool bag and makes field use easy and readily accessible.

This is a decent-quality butane torch, it feels pleasantly solid in your hand. The torch's adjustment dial seems poorly made in that it goes from 0 to 100% in the first 1/3 of a turn and the rest of its turning range makes no difference at all to the flame intensity.Providing two nozzles was a good idea, the three-port nozzle diffuses the flame very well, and the single-hole nozzle gives a nice conical center flame. The nozzles are easy to change and feel very tightly seated when installed. The piezo igniter works perfectly. So except for the wonky adjustment dial this is a handy torch that will be great for sweating pipes in tight spots, or glazing creme brulee, or whatever your torch plans are.
