The steering in my 98 Tacoma felt sloppy and the steering wheel would shake at higher speed. Replacing these bushing make it 90% better and is much cheaper and easier to install. The job took little over an hour and I would say it was fairly easy if you get the weight off the front end and remove the tires. Good luck

Everything fit the way it should. No issues. Can't tell a major difference in the steering but that may just mean that the factory rubber bushings at 100k were not in bad shape.

270 K on factory set replaced. 97 Tacomaevery thing fit perfectly.the material these are made of, urethane i think, is stiffer than original.i like this, good feedback from steering.you will need an extra washer with this set, one of the factory long shaft washers was welded to the sleeve shaft.i cut it off with a metal cutting wheel and used it. you need 2 washers on this bushing...it took me about 4 hours. you will need to remove unit from truck.i removed drivers side ball joint from wheel, hydraulic lines, steering shaft attachment and bushing bolts.it practically fell out.did the whole job under the truck with other ball joint attached.the old bushings are really tough to remove, i ended up using a c-clamp to push them out.woulda given 5 stars if washer included.
