I was unable to use these for automotive as item is made cheaply. Sockets have no grip and slip every time. Not for heavy duty use.

Not very good. After the first good pull on a bolt it gave up the pins inside never held a good grip on anything again.

This looks to be a nice stud remover set, but it is NOT good. Every stud I tried to remove slipped inside the tool and I had to use a different method. These are not worth the powder to blow them up.

As a professional automotive technician I own other sets of this style stud remover/installers. This type of stud tool is very convenient and easy to use. Granted my other sets cost many times more than these, the quality of this set is not great. The rollers and wedges inside the tools are too sloppy and soft to last. I tested the 10mm on a turbo flange stud and the tool jammed and then fell apart. My recommendation is to spend a bit more and get a better set. These may work for light and occasional use. I give this set 3 stars

I had two rusty studs to remove from an old cylinder head, and this set of stud removal tools from the Prokomon Store on Amazon did the trick. I had previously soaked the studs in penetrating oil and warmed the area with a torch, in order to get the best possible removal scenario. The tool worked, but I felt it was straining at the limit of it's capacity, and if the studs were in any tighter it may have broken the tool. That was just my feeling, it did not break the tool, so no stars are deducted. It's a keeper.

Amazon has been fantastic but the tool Not as described , would not fit or grab even measured 3 times before ordering it and making sure that it would work by its description. Tool not worth the time.

Retired now I worked my life as an auto tech, these are much welcome addition to my tool box, I do a LOT of tinkering and working on cars in my home shop these days. In the attached pics I also show the stud remover I've had for 30 years and I used it a lot on the job, these new removers look as well made and should hold up just as well as the one I bought from one of the tool trucks. These are a real time saver! If you are careful you an also use them to install studs, just make sure you're not using so much torque that you are damaging the threads during install, stop and check as you go. These are something anyone working on cars will find handy and see the value in them once you've used one! Yes, I recommend these!

i have a 2006 camry that i’m changing the thermostat, i broke the top stud when tightening everything back up. ordered this and didn’t think it was going to work but it had no trouble! used the 6mm for the stud. Well worth it! saved $125 from the local mechanic

Made stud threads shiny but did not remove stud. Use the two nut method on a stud instead of this.
