Installed on my 04 ultra classic.very disappointed can’t tell any difference from air shocks.one shock turns easy and the other won’t turn at all without a strap wrench.should have saved money Could have bought some nice parts for almost $600 and shipping was the slowest I have ever seen.

Had I known the difference a set of shocks would make to my 12 Ultra, I would have put these on the day that I bought the bike. I was skeptical of paying nearly $1K for front and rears, but this is likely the single best thing that I have done to improve my scoot. Yes they are stiffer than the stock air rides, but the shock is now doing the absorbing, not my spine. Even my Corbin feels like a new seat. These are definitely entry level into the shock world, but drastic improvement over stock.

2014 FLHTK. I'm about 200 lbs, 95% of time solo but have 15lbs or so distributed between bags and tourpak. 3 turns and preload set to about 3/4 inch. I like a firmer suspension. These are great for me. I did get them "used-like new" at highly discounted price. These had no sign of ever being removed from box let alone installed and all hardware etc was present in still sealed packages; I hit the jackpot. I had already tuned stock a ir ride shocks with higher weight performance oil and they seemed great but even just backing out of garage I could feel the difference with the progressive's. Bike lean angle is greatly improved and bike is much more connected to the road while hammering down backroads where I live. I am aggressive rider and these so far have kept up with my demands. Next up is the progressive monotube front fork kit with fst. Hoping for a like new return deal on them! Was split between ordering standard or hd; standard had a great deal so I figured I'd try them as I could always upgrade the springs. Out of 9 turns of preload I'm at 3 so still have plenty of adjustment if needed. Your results may vary...

Super easy to install, came with all hardware needed, which included sleeves I needed for mounting bolts. SOOO much better than the factory 1920 technology air shocks Harley put on my bike. VERY easy to install. The ride is not as cushy or "floaty", but so much more composed and confident that those air shocks. If the only roads you ever travel are ice smooth and bone straight your probably happy with air shocks. In the real world with bumps and twists, you need these. Progressive helpline was very honest and pointed me to these over the 944's as well. Great shocks.

Much Better than the stock air suspension on my 2012 Road King. My wife rides with me all the time so I was a little concerned about what people were saying about the 944`s being better. I decided to try the 444`s anyway. My wife is 120 lbs and I`m 180. I started out on the 5th position and found it to be to firm. I dropped it to the 4th positions and it seems to be just fine. My wife is not repositioning herself after every bump as she was previosuly to installing the Progressive 444. Only have about 1200 miles on them so far but definitely happier with the ride. The rest of the year is in head of us with lots more miles to go.

I have a 2012 ultra limited-I am the only rider plus the gear I carry and had to turn the adjustment to the 4th line to get the correct ride sag that was needed per progressive suspension-I am 215lbs so the shocks are almost maxed out-there is a big difference in the ride and the way it handles with these shocks and the cartridge kit for the frt forks---maybe should have went with the heavy duty shocks.

Progressive goes beyond what the stock Harley Davidson do. Harley doesn't pay much for the stock suspension (front and rear). Too bad Harley designers don't add suspension travel to their motorcycles, That would mask a sub par shock.Progressive suspension works ARE the way to go. Controlled dampening and compression, what a concept. and the plus is NO TOOL adjustments (preload)This shock has improved the ride on my 2012 road king.Get these before you modify your motor, it's a waste if the power isn't on the ground!!!!!

even just one turn down on pre-load way too stiff. feel every bump. these are not heavy duty springs either. these are set-up per instructions with one inch movement with rider on bike. would not reccomend. maybe the 944 series might work better as I would trade these and try..gary
