I've used this hose on both my 2000 and 2001 Jeep XJ Cherokee. Both of them have the 4.0L engine. This is the upper radiator hose. I found that the hose would rub on the battery if installed as it comes, but if I trim about 1/2in off the radiator end of the hose it helps keep the hose up and off the battery. I also add a few zip ties around the protective sleeve and that holds it in place nicely.

My old hose was much longer and wrapped around the A/C pump .. this one fits much nicer. I had to trim about 3/8" off the radiator side ... but that is no big deal .. trimming is easy .. too short would have been bad :)
