We boat almost every weekend and tying plastic bags off the cleat can often lead to trash getting in the water. Having this as a holder for the bag makes this a very welcome addition to the boat. We even put it in the washing machine and it came out clean and in perfect shape.

I don't use this on a boat, but instead in my bedroom. I needed a trash can but I don't have a lot of room to dedicate to it and this has worked out great. It is leak resistant, but so far I've only put dry, inorganic, trash in it. So, I can't really speak to how well that resistance works and for what duration.

It is awkward to attach a trash bag to the snap clips, but I can't think of a better way. This is easier to transport than a hard plastic trash can and is less likely to blow away than a bare trash bag.

This is the second one of these style trash cans we've had for our boat and this one is amazing. The fabric is very durable and thick. It is a quality well made product.Love that it has a strap to attach onto the boat as well as an additional one for the bottom, plus the pockets on the side and the zipper on the bottom for easy removal of the trash. Not to mention the top zips to keep trash in.Easy to clean as well!

Ahhh...the dilemma of boating and sandbar hopping! What to do to with your trash?!I typically keep a box of kitchen trash bags in my center console and once I get to my destination, tie a bag to one of my center console uprights. But when it's time to pack up and move on, that bag can't stay there, so I untie it and typically just toss it into the center console hatch until it's needed at the next stop.In addition, I often go out when it's pretty wind, so that kitchen trash bag is just whirling around in the wind. No bueno! This trash can was the answer. It may not be perfect, but it's a good step in the right direction! Having the zippered bottom is nice for quickly emptying it, but that could be a little messy. It does have 5 snap fasteners to hold the top of a trash bag inside of it. This could use improvement, but is functional and affords the ability to quickly remove the trash from the boat without any mess. The slotted lid is perfect for preventing trash from coming out of the bag when it is windy out or I am underway and the bag has several attachment options which has afforded me the ability to attach it to my leaning post and not worry about it falling over or blowing away. Now, I can keep the trash can out the duration of the day no matter how many spots we visit and then at the end of the day, just unclip it, compress it (after removing the trash bag), and toss it into the center console for storage!

I have two trash cans/bags designed to be used on a boat (or other windy location). Both are about 12” diameter. With both, you can zip open the top and add a 13-gal trash can liner via 5 snaps set around the rim. The lid does not detach so it will not get lost. Both have an opening in the top surface so you can put trash in and it will not blow out. This one has a better top opening design: heavy rubber circle, quartered, so trash is more likely to stay in.This can/bag is much heavier fabric than the other. The inside has a rubberized surface. The inner and outer surfaces should rinse clean easily. The bag has two pockets on the outside. But it is NOT a pop-up design. The zip-open top lid has two zipper pulls. Ditto for the zip-open bottom surface. The top has a short snap-lock strap to attach it to something or hang it from something. The item also has two removable straps: one (for the top?) is an adjustable web strap, long enough to use as a shoulder strap. The other is a non-adjustable cord. Each attaches with light carabiner clips. You have to use at least one of these straps to attach the can/bag to something. It does not stand up on its own. This narrow bag will be great for some, awful for others. If it were a pop-up design instead of a ‘hang it up’ design, I would consider it ideal.Rating: very goodMy scale: 5 star = excellent (or has a special feature), 4 star = good/ very good (does what it should). I rarely use the term ‘perfect.’
