Powernail mallet caps are made in the USA from a similar premium rubber compound you would find in automobile tires. They have great resilience and tensile strength. The caps found on many imported mallets are made from inferior compounds which can cause the caps to chunk, crack & crumble early in their lifecycle. Powernail’s mallet caps are highly durable and have an outstanding resistance to abrasion.
Iron may be easier to cast, but that is not the only reason we chose our ductile iron blend over steel for our mallet heads. Ductile iron has superior shock absorption that helps prevent injury during prolonged use. It also has a higher abrasion resistance than steel resulting in less wear when making contact with other surfaces.
Our handles are made in the USA from genuine Tennesse Hickory. Hickory is known to be a natural shock absorber with a great balance of strength and flexibility, perfect for hand tool handles. Each handle is given a Vacuum Cup Grip and finished with a clear protective lacquer layer.

This mallet has installed thousands of square feet of flooring and made me tons of money. The hickory handle is indestructible and the white rubber mallet heads can be replaced when they get busted up. 10/10

I bought this mallet in December 2022 and it only last 7 months. I don't use it every day and today it broke. For the money that I paid I thought it would be better quality.

Been installing for years and the PowerNail mallets are a must have in my bag. Have tried other brands and always come back to a Powernail. Wont go wrong with this one

I've been a licensed flooring contractor for 16 years and I will not use any other mallet on my job sites. I've tried them all and this one blows them all away. The weight of the head, length of the handle and density of the rubber make for a perfect hit every time. If you are looking for a great mallet that will get the job done, look no further. Pricey, but worth every penny.

I don’t use this for floors but it is a good all around hammer. Nice heavy weight love the white non mar surface.
