I've tried to use these several times with the hopes that they would replace my Craftsman version that I lost. The mechanism doesn't seem to work very well because every time you put the pliers on something and tighten the grip, the middle just slips and does not hold. It seems that it will hold a certain amount of light pressure but reaches a point where it gives.

I have tools all over but these are very helpful. The big one is in the tool box and the smaller one is in the kitchen junk drawer.

The small one is perfect. The large one is LARGE and I wish it was a little bit smaller but they work well.
