  • Choose a clay that's suitable for wheel throwing. Beginner suggests to use more easily molded clay, such as terra cotta clay.

  • Start with a clay ball, place it in the center of the pottery wheel. Use your hands to gently press and shape the clay into a flat disk. As the wheel spins, use your fingertips to guide the edges of the clay to the center, creating a centered mound.

  • You can control the speed by LCD touch screen or foot pedal. Beginners suggest to start with a low speed of 100-180rpm to get a feel for the machine and then gradually increase the speed as you become more skilled.

It's good size and comes with a lot, but it does slow down considerablely when pressure is applied so if your doing something small it's good. I also wish it was a foot pedal.

Product was damaged on arrival the on off switch was installed upside down and the motor wouldn't turn on though it was getting power.
