The size of so-called 2 watt rated pots continues to shrink, and I guess that is possible - but I long for the days when a 2 watt pot was beefy and substantial. These basically look to be the size of the old 1 watt Allen Bradley sized units. In my experience, when it comes to potentiometer wattage ratings, size matters - (and I have thousands of potentiomters in my working stock, going back 70+ years of mfg.)Still the pot feels o.k., maybe a little cheaply finished compared to the golden era of U.S. potentiometer manufacturing. But it is what it is. No idea how they did 2 Watts with a carbon track, because every 2W pot I know of that is worthy of the name is something more robust than carbon track...like wirewound. But they claim it is good for 2 watts at 5kohm. I guess I should test it, but I don't want to burn it up just to prove that it is "technically" good for 2 watts. :-)Nylon shaft, comes with a nut and washer. Seems to be about what it claims as far as value. I don't know about the "precision" part. I know I won't be using it in a critical application, but it is fine for consumer/bench experiment work.Four stars, because it feels a tiny little bit below grade in the fit and finish area. Probably fine for DIY non-critical applications. The 2W rating should be confirmed before installation, IMO.

Will be using this for a speed control on the VFD for my milling machine. Looks like it matches all the specs in the listing. Has a good feel and checks out on my VOM. Time will tell if it's durable. I'll update the review if there are any issues.
