Used this in a covered but outdoor location. It held up well with no issues.

I've been using this to power a PoE access point from a portable battery pack and has no issues. The DC-to-DC conversion seems to work well.

I ordered it to test it out and it was working fine. I did not start using it till a few months later. It was working fine for about 6 - 9 months and it just stopped working. I thought it was my equipment but it turned out to be this little GPOE. And btw, bought another one and it did not work at all this time. A hassle to return and finally did returned it. Seller did not refund immediately, saying... oh it said delivered but we can't find it. Don't buy from this company, dishonest. Dispute the transaction and it's taking a while.

Was used to power a meshed wifi repeater in the fields powered by a solar panel and deep cycle battery. Worked perfect but now just 5 months later it's dead. Charge controller, battery, and this is a weatherproof box. Charge controller still working so it's not the environment in box. Will look for another maker of similar.

With mention of 802.3af/at I expected this to be standard active PoE instead of the "dumb" passive PoE that cheaper adapters do, but that seems incorrect - this apparently is just a passive PoE injector with a boost-converter.Pro: Easily take ~12V input and put out 48V passive-PoE outputCon: It is passive PoE not active PoE, so be careful what you plug it intoIn my case, I wanted to "split out" the PoE signal to power an IR floodlight at 12V then "pass along" the PoE network to the IP camera nearby so this gets the job done but it isn't what I was expecting.Sure, this will do what I want, but I think I will still keep looking for something that can do active PoE so I don't have to ever worry about plugging into the wrong thing.

Powering a Polycom VOIP phone that was on an AC to 48V POE injector. I bought this to use with a DC mini-UPS that I'm now using to power my fiber modem and wifi router. The mini-UPS has 9V, 12V, and 15/24V outputs but lacked the 48V that the phone required. Plugging this into one of the 12V jacks works with no trouble.

Very nice units. I’m using 2 of them for a solar powered Ubiquiti mesh AP and G3 flex camera setup. I feed in DC from a 12v battery through the barrel plug, bridge the male RJ45s with an Ethernet coupler. The female RJ45s go to the devices via a patch cord and everything has been rock solid.
