Used this in my garage to place a 5th Gen Echo Dot up out of the way. Echo body snaps into place with a nice click. The arms are pretty slender so I wasn't sure how they'd do with the relatively Echo, but they're holding steady nearly 2 months in.The only part that is a little fiddly is that as you spool the power cord around the base, depending on how the cord lays, you may end up with some excess cord on your last wrap. After you plug the cord into the Echo power jack, this excess can cause part of the cord to unwind out of the slot. To fix this, I just used the rubber band that came with the Echo dot packaging and wrapped it around the end of the cord a few times. This knot of rubber band is large enough that you can push it into the slot and it will keep the cord from coming out.

I ordered this believing it was compatible with my Echo Dot 4th gen. It's not - so be wary of that!Even though it's not compatible with my Echo Dot - it is nicely made and feels durable.The point would be to keep the wires from being visible and have a neat orderly space where your Echo is located.No drilling or adhesives are used. Installation is easy! It takes up a lot of space but I would be willing to sacrifice that instead of dealing with exposed wires.For $15, that's not a bad price. I would recommend!

The instructions were not easy to follow, and it was hard to figure out how to do the cable management. Once I was certain I had that right, it was OK, but unlike the Sintron model I bought for my 3rd generation echo devices, the cable is not 100% hidden. There's a little piece hanging down. Also, the device just doesn't feel as solidly connected as I expected.

The instructions for attaching your 5th gen dot (not included) to the hanger were easy to follow. After you feed the power cord through the opening and place the plug into place, make sure you leave the cord coming from the plug slack enough to follow the curve of the opening before you start wrapping the cord. It makes wrapping the cord go smoothly without 'catching' on the cord with each round. It will also help with the cord placement when the time comes to plug the cord into the dot.

I liked this little guy so much I went back and ordered the 4th generation Echo dot version. Just to make you aware, the 5th and 4th gen mounts have different power cord placement, so the mounts for them are NOT interchangeable. I like making groups and using my Echo’s to play music throughout the whole house. This mount keeps it out of the way, saves counter/table space, and is pretty cool looking. It pairs with the Echo nicely as far as the color and you can still see a slight glow from the Echo’s lights to know it’s responding, which is nice. I was very happy with this product.
