I am a hobby blacksmith and I purchased these ball bearings to create a tool for shaping and texturing copper spoons. I welded one to some steel bar to make it easy to hold in a vise or hardy hole. (I’m not a welder so please ignore the ugly welds in the photos.) This worked great.I have made many copper spoons on this bearing now. I’ve missed a couple times with my hammer but the bearing still has no mars or dents. Very tough smooth steel! It has also been out in my barn for months and there is absolutely no rust. This tool should last a LOOONG time.And, since this came as a set of two, I have another bearing to make another tool or as a backup.Very happy with this purchase.

I use these heavy steel ball bearings to weigh down my cardboard spools of filament in my Bambu labs AMS. The AMS system doesn't work well with cardboard spools of filament but attaching a printed plastic ring to the edge of the spool and adding a couple of these ball bearings in the core has made it possible to print with cardboard spools of filament with no issue.

As expected these work great as boading balls. They are solid and hefty. Mine remain shiny and rust free a year later. As far as size goes... I can fit two across my hand and I estimate 4 on the length of my hand but I wouldn't try to hold more than 3 because I'd likely drop the fourth on my foot and I'll pass on that.

It is round, hard, heavy and shiny. Perfect. I use it to check floors for level, it rolls when it should. Perfect!

Metal ball, functional as metal ball. When pushed it rolled like a ball would so it works well as a metal ball
