Bought this for our 2 kittens while out of town for a week at Christmas. It does all the things we need and is now used full-time. The programmable schedule is easy to set up and enables limitless options in terms of portions, frequency at whatever times we want. No more hungry cats waking us up at 5:30AM. We still pay a neighbor kid to check on them when gone for a few days, but the video feature does provide reassurance everything is working. You can also talk to your pets through the video, which is kinda fun.

This is an edit to my original review due to dispensed portion size. It's confusing in the app that it reads 1/12cups and I understood that to be 1 feed out of 12 cups, when I discovered, it's actually 1/12th of a cup (ie: to dispense 1 cup of food, you need to do 12/12 cup manual feeds). Still kinds of wonky, but workable. I wish the hopper had multiple slots for dumping food. The portions are sporadic in quantity. The dual bowl splitter to separate the morsels to go into each dish is a gimmick and one dish always gets more than the other (despite changing the splitter positions). Setup was easy - like SUPER EASY! I ordered a different brand and got it the nite before I ordered this one. The other one was CHEAP and it wouldn't connect after 2.5 hours of trying and married to a system tech so it wasn't 'user error', hence the reason I decided to go with 'the big rater' out there and glad I did. The video quality is SUPERB!! live stream is amazing. Downside, you can either pay for a subscription to store videos and images, or buy an SD card. This isn't disclosed until you've unpackaged it, set it up and are within the app when that page pops up. I have an SD card, and signed up for a subscription - I wasn't totally 'sure' that all video's would save on the card so played it safe.Sound quality is awesome and the nite vision is absolutely amazing. I wish the food tank was vacuum sealed like on another PetLibro model.All in All, I am super, super happy with this and it will allow me to have some peace while on my first vacation in 10 years. Husband will be home with the kitties, but I can't 'trust' him that he'll fill their bowls before he leaves for work in the morning or at nite before bed - sad really - so this will give me the ability to keep my babies fed and KNOW they'll get food! This is a great feeder, but there are a few things I've come across that I want to share.FOOD: TYPE: Doesn't work well with meow mix or special shaped/larger cat food. Works best with food like science diet, costco brand - smaller, round bits PORTION: Not consistent. One serving sometimes only throws out a few bits, and barely anything if using Meow Mix (hence comment above). This isn't necessarily a deal breaker because you can simply program it to dispense more. "One Serving" for my cat is actually 3 with this feeder. BLOCKAGE: No Issues with blockage.POWER: It plugs in and takes D batteries for a backup power supply. Our power has gone out several times and my settings are saved even without batteries.CAPACITY: It holds A LOT of food. One fill lasts me a couple of weeks with 2 cats.EASE-OF-USE: Extremely easy to program. You can also quickly unlock it by holding down the lock icon, and quickly change any or bypass the schedule and feed now.FINAL THOUGHTS: I Love this, but I recently bought the wifi model, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The extra money it costs is nothing compared to the additional features and peace of mind it offers. For one, you can control it through the App 100%. It notifies you when the food is low, or if there's a blockage or any issue at all. If you're on vacation, you can monitor it from wherever to make sure it's working and that your cat is getting fed. I've found the App to be extremely accurate. I use it to feed a stray cat outside since she runs away if I come near. With this, I can tap a button on my phone when I see her and the food automatically dispenses. I had it sitting outside in cold below-zero temperatures and it worked great. Every night a pack of raccoons try to break into it, but they haven't succeeded yet. The only thing they're able to do to it is to detach the front tray, which easily slips back on. Raccoons can usually tear anything up if there's food inside, but they haven't been able to do any damage to this, which says a lot!!! Granted, I'm talking about the wifi model, but it's made the same as this one.You will not be disappointed with this brand! If you can afford it, upgrade to the one with wifi and app. It's worth it!!!

Estoy usando este comedero desde hace una semana aproximadamente.Fue fácil programarlo después de conseguir las instrucciones en español por internet.Estoy contenta con su funcionamiento, poco a poco los gatos se han ido acostumbrando.Quise probar como funcionaría con las baterías en caso de que se fuera la luz, lo desconecté de la corriente eléctrica y al poco tiempo se apagó la pantalla led, siguió funcionando pero con la pantalla led apagada, se encendía a la hora programada para dispensar la comida y luego se vuelve a apagar. No sabía si eso era normal.Me puse en contacto con el vendedor de PETLIBRO para aclararlo, me sorprendió la excelente atención y la amabilidad con la que lo hicieron, me respondieron que es normal que la pantalla se apague 1 minuto después si no hay más acciones mientras el alimentador funciona solo con baterías. Está diseñado así para salvar la vida útil de las baterías.Me pareció importante comentarlo por si alguien pasa por las mismas dudas que yo. Saludos.

This dumb device connected to my Wi-Fi one r for about a week and ever since it won’t connect no matter what I had done resetting the device followed all instructions to reconnect I even change my Wi-Fi devices and router and passwords nothing work waste of money if it won’t connect to Wi-Fi

Es ist super, kein gekratzte mehr an der Tür.Es können bis zu sechs Mahlzeiten Programmiert werden.Die Edelstahlnäpfe sind leicht zu reinigen. Beim einfallen des Trockenfutters macht es „kling kling“ was uns jedoch nicht weiter stört.Der Automat wurde von Tag eins an gut angenommen.
