just as your regular pluck and form foam it cuts easily with a safety blade and forms well as needed. used for other reasons other than putting in the case that it was designed for. overall quality is great

Fits my Pelican 1400 as described. Keeps my extremely fragile and expensive items secure. I keep multiple inserts around so I can better optimize my storage potential.

Smaller then what I was expecting, but overall it fit perfectly for what I was using it for. Just should have measured my equipment first before ordering this awesome product. Luckily with everything I tore out from it I was able to use as a buffer to get it to fit anyways. So it worked out perfectly in the end.

I purchased this set as a replacement to the original foam that came with my Pelican 1400 case. The original didn't have a great cut-out feature and when I cut a pattern for my Glock in the foam is tore and didn't have a clean look. This replacement set is definitely a major improvement, with much better delineation in the cubes on the foam, but the depth feature of the foam needs improvement. You can easily measure out an area for your device (camera, pistol, other electronic, etc...) but getting the right depth is a difficult task. I cannot get a consistent depth and when I estimate I end of cutting uneven lines. The result is a clean outline with a variety of bumps on the bottom surface. This isn't a major deal-breaker, but I think could be easily fixed with horizontal striations cut into the foam at the factory.On the upside, the foam is solid, probably more-so then the OEM foam, and has buoyancy which brings it back in shape very quickly. It fit perfectly in my case and was very reasonably priced considering how expensive the actual cases are (although definitely worth the cost). I've been using the replacement for a few months with no issues other then the critique of the depth I mention above.

The Pelican Case will usually outlast the foam and buying Pelican replacement foam is the only way to go. It fits without issues and it kepts what ever you have safe and secure. Dealing with Krums Photographic was easy and no issues.
