Firstly, this is a Classic Controller, not a GameCube controller. On an unmodified Wii this works exactly the same as any other Wii Classic controller. You plug it into the Wiimote and you can use it with Virtual Console games, WiiWare games, and a couple dozen Wii games, including Mario Kart and Smash etc.On an unmodified Wii you absolutely can NOT use this with GameCube games. On a softmodded Wii it's a whole different story.Twilight Princess, Windwaker, Four Swords, with probably the most Zelda controller ever? Sure. Not on an unmodded Wii though. This isn't one of those crunchy third party controllers you throw in a draw and only take out if you have a bunch of people over and not enough controllers. No. The build quality on this seems to be as good as a Ninty controller. If you like how this looks in the picture you won't be disappointed; that's exactly what you get. It's shiny. The colours are stunning. That shiny gold wingcrest is SHINY metallic (I hope so much that it stays). The buttons feel good. They're not mushy or clicky. The triggers' action feels good. The sticks are fine (and upgraded to Wii Classic sticks instead of the weirdness on the GCN controller). Now here's where my gripes come in, and the are very few.1. The home button (yellow) sticks up the same as the start/+ and select/- buttons (blue). It looks great but Nintendo recessed that button for a good reason. You don't want to accidentally press that in-game because it pauses the game and brings up a Wii system menu.If you're using it with GameCube games (modded Wii only remember, but that's very common these days) the home button immediately and unceremoniously quits the game just like you reset the GameCube. The home button sticks out. Not kewl.2. While it may look like the best looking GameCube controller ever made (and function exactly as a Wii Classic Controller), it does NOT feel like a GameCube controller. The handles are fatter and don't fit in the hand as nicely. The bottom of the casing under the D-pad and C stick are rounded and look great but they get in the way a little. Both noticable but forgivable. It's still wonderful, and the closest I've seen yet.However...I mentioned earlier that the trigger action feels good. That's just the mechanism. The shape of the triggers is utterly abominable. I'd change them out but they're brown, and grey or black would look naff.Still the best third party GameCube plastics I've ever seen, and one of the best looking GameCube controllers ever. Why change the shape of a GCN controller?!That's literally the only reason it's one of the most highly rated controllers ever made.

I've been using this controller to play games from the Wii shop channel that require a classic controller. I always played with the little white oval- shaped one before this which was very uncomfortable to play with. This However is marvelous. There is plenty of room to rest each palm on the 'prongs' and every button is at a perfect distance to mash away. I also love the fact that the X, Y, A, and B are all different shapes and sizes which makes it easy to find without looking. There's also the added bonus that I can use this on my Wii U and not just the Wii.Wonderful product, cant wait to play more.

Works extremely well for many different games on the Wii U. I personally use it mainly for smash 4 and MK8. I think it's significantly better than the much more expensive pro controllers that they sell for the Wii U, especially for someone that grew up on the gamecube. The only problem is that it's not 100% able to stand up to intense playing for more than 1-2 years as I just had to buy a new one after having one and using it extremely often for that long.

Gorgeous! I couldn't find this in store during the holidays so ordered online. Sturdy, well made, and an ode to Zelda fans everywhere. Absolutely a must-have for your controller collection. I just wish they made a matching wii remote!

The controller works fine and everything is great, except for the one MAJOR detail that is: I̲ o̲r̲d̲e̲r̲e̲d̲ t̲h̲e̲ L̲I̲N̲K̲ v̲e̲r̲s̲i̲o̲n̲, N̲O̲T̲ t̲h̲e̲ L̲U̲I̲G̲I̲ v̲e̲r̲s̲i̲o̲n̲. And yet, despite this fact, I got the luigi version. I was extremely dissatisfied with this, as I bought it for the sole purpose of expanding my zelda memorabilia collection.

Buen mando con buenos acabados y materiales, yo lo uso para la nes mini y va perfecto , la única pega es la longitud del cable que es muy corto pero en todos los mandos de wii/wiiu pasa lo mismo

The Wired Fight Pad has a wonderful colour to it and I like that it is a GameCube controller in style. I dislike that it must be plugged into the Wii Remote as if it were a Nunchuk. So if you want to use this product you MUST have a Wii Remote as well to go with it, thankfully I did. I'm disappointed that it is not compatible with "Pikmin 3" for the Wii U or "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" for the Wii. So a word to the wise, check the game's case to see it it is Wii Classic Controller compatible FIRST. If the Wii Classic Controller symbol is not there, this controller will not work with the game. Other than compatibility issues the controller is wonderful once the buttons are a bit broken in.

The design is cute and the controller is easy enough to use, but my goodness these don't last. I got my first controller like this at Christmas time and it died after 4 months. Right out of the box, the A button stuck and it didn't connect well to the main controller. It felt cheaply made. I bought replacements on Amazon because they were only $11 and change (compared to $24 for my first one). After I ordered this controller to replace the one that had broken, I found out that it won't even work with all of the WiiU games that you can use a controller with, like Pikmin 3. For those games you need the WiiU pro controller, which of course, costs more. I would recommend saving your money and instead of buying these controllers just buy a WiiU pro controller instead since it'll work with more games and will *hopefully* last a little longer.

I just love it. After buying so many knockoffs, this is just the most precise controller I've had yet. And for 9$,it's just great. Anyway,at first i thought it had the same GameCube's connection, but it have the Classic ControllerNunchick's connection, you'll plug it in the wiimote, nothing that I dislike. It feels like a normal gamecube controller and it works like a clssic controller proclassic controller, this means that it have the ZLZR triggers and two bumps, for a total of 4 back buttons (L,R,ZL and ZR); it also have a Start+ button, a Select- button and a Home button, and it works great on platformes (like freedom planet) fighting games (smash bros u and brawl) and works great on homebrews. I love it,and it's way cheaper than the HORI (which is a great controller too) and than the official ones.

Well it's cosmetics are stunning. It's very responsive. Only con I would have to give it is it feels a little cheap. It's very light and kind of feels like a toy. Other than that no complaints! Any fan of The Legend of Zelda should think about picking this rad controller up!
