August 2016, this became sluggish for some reason. It hasn't been a heavy use item, but it had worked great on a number of things. It is stalling on russet potatoes. Very disappointing. It looks nice and cleans easily by hand.I need to replace it and I have no idea what to buy. I thought this was perfection when I first used it in 2015.

UPDATE: The eye remover DOES NOT WORK. I'm not even sure that the metal piece at the top of this was intended to remove potato eyes; It is completely dull with no contours. I think it may just be there for looks. Yes, the blade peels my vegetables nicely, but if I need to remove potato eyes I have to get out a pairing knife.Original Review:This works REALLY well. It is a mid-line product... it is far nicer than anything all metal you can buy at the grocery store, but it's not top of the line quality. Not a lot of attention to detail when making the blade (it is actually looks like it was accidentally cut kind of "wavy" and has some ridges in it) but it does cut really well and looks like it will last forever.

This grater is great. I make zucchini bread & I can easily grate all the squash needed both quickly & easily. It is very sharp & the folding shape makes it both stable & easy to store.

Wow, this is not hte first peeler I have used, but I have to admit it is the sharpest. I love it! It's designed thinly so it does not take much space and works better than I imagined. Plus it's NOT made in China!!!!! Yes, that is an important factor when it comes to quality and humanity. You can't go wrong with this item! It's the perfect peeler all around.

Ever since I first tried a Microplane grater, I knew that the only graters to get are the ones where the teeth are etched (as opposed to stamped).After leaving my grater too close to the range oven vents (the hot air deformed the plastic frame), I decided to look for an all-metal grater of comparable quality.There are not many choices that fill the requirements of 1) etched teeth and 2) all-metal. This is one of them.Overall, I'm quite happy with it. It's sturdy, sharp (not as sharp as the Microplane though) and will survive any mishandling. The only downside is that, due to how the stainless steel plates are rolled around the frame, it's hard to properly clean the insides. Not a big deal, though.It's a keeper.

The cutting edges seem much sharper than other graters of this type we have used. You get 3 different edges and we find outselves using the coarse one even for hard cheese like parmesan. I think this will eventually replace our other graters except for maybe a zester (just for ease of use to zest into recipe). The feet hold well and it opens small enough that we can grate on a small lunch plate. The only negative I find so far is that the rolled top & bottom edges in the inside tend to collect particles of food so this takes extra time to clean.

Actually, you can tell the second you have it in your hand that this is a quality made product. I am not used to employing peelers because most of the nutrients in a food are right under the skin, and the reason I got this was to shave carrots into my salad.It is quite sharp and does a good job. For me,though, the shavings are a little too thin but I still save time using this as opposed to a knife.Overall, a very good product.

...start making stuff, I'll keep buying German made like this delightful kitchen time saver.Most people would not think of reviewing a peeler. It's too unimportant to justify typing anything. However, if you cook enough and have done it long enough and care about the quality of your creations, this simple little kitchen tool will put a smile upon your face. I won't contrast it with the sloppy, gouging wasteful peelers your typical "branded" name American kitchen company "designs in America" and manufactures in Shandong province. Those are, in a word, contemptible to anyone who cares about quality. Spare me the cache of having that "brand name" cheap crap in my kitchen and you know what I'm talking about. Those companies care more about profit than perfection. If there is a more perfect peeler than this one, I haven't used it.I've peeled for 40 years and I don't need to tell you, pushing a peeler across the surfaces of carrots, radishes, potatoes, yams and cutting your knuckles on dull peelers or using a knife to peel on will put years on your life scars on your hands and make you want to throw it in there unpeeled.Not with this peeler.It's effortless, smooth, graceful, clean and precise. I look for food to peel with this tool in my kitchen drawer. It's balanced, properly sized to hold. It's not too long or too short and cuts very good size peel of the food. But it's standout quality is the speed. Oh man, it's like peeling butter with this device. It's beautiful 18/10 stainless steel. To clean it, you put it under the water and the flow washes away all the particles of food.I could go on. You will enjoy this wonderful peeler. And now it has a review.
