It locks in place pointing towards the rear of the truck on my gas 6.6 2024. I thought I was going to have hell getting it to unlock but did some research and realized you can reach in with an o-ring pick and depress the tab to release it. Take a good look at it before installing to make the removal process easier on yourself. I thought I may have to pull a valve cover at first.

Installing a van engine into my ‘72 C20 so I’m replacing all of the dipsticks, filler tubes, etc. This fit perfectly and when I ordered a separate OEM Oil Cap, it too fit perfectly into this OEM Oil Filler neck.

Used this in 2023 Camaro. It screwed in where my oil cap goes but somehow got stuck, would NOT unscrew. Been working on cars for 30 years, and this somehow was locked in. Had to untwist with such force that it broke, risking breaking the area where it screws in. Would definitely not recommend. It seemed to screw on just fine, but disaster that it somehow would not unscrew. Very odd.

It didn’t fit my ‘15 5.3. Gave it a 5 because it appears well made

Turning it 90 degrees into place points it at the driver instead of the ceiling as it should. Also after turning it 90 degrees into place, it locks, it making it scary hard to remove. I had to use a lot of force, almost damaging my oil fill tube. For LT1 engines look for: Assenmacher OFAAGM.
