I work in an industrial setting where we have to use this same style of banding system often. While I didn’t expect a whole kit for under $100 to be remotely close to the same level I do have an understanding what a good setup should work like. Actually being so cheap I kind of expected it to be a hot mess but was pleasantly surprised with this setup. The tensioner/cutter is quite nice and happens to be probably the most important part. If you don’t have a good tensioner your banding is kinda pointless anyway. The crimper isn’t quite as nice but for medium duty it’s more than sufficient. The banding is good but hopefully refills aren’t terribly expensive as 100’ isn’t going to last but a few larger packages. The packaging process may take a few tries to get down but once you have it you’ll never forget. If you’re looking for something like this for your home or work space it should work nicely. I’d probably go a little more heavy duty in a rough environment but for lighter/medium situations I can see this lasting a long time.

I had to look up some videos on it's intended use, but once I got going it worked well. I used this as an inexpensive way to add some extra structure to a gazebo, and it worked great for that.

I am happy with this banding, packaging strapping kit. The ratcheting tensioner and crimping tool function just like the ones that I use at work.I like that the kit comes with 2 rolls of polyester strapping and 2 bags of crimp seals, it started me out with everything I needed to secure my packages.Materials, workmanship, and build quality are what I would expect for an entry level strapping kit. They are not professional grade but work good for my projects around the house. I have been strapping boxes and small bundles of lumber, I am able to get the straps tensioned tight and crimped seals hold strong. This strapping kit works as it should and like that it gives me a better option to securing my packages.

This is a pretty nice 1/2" strapping kit for light duty use (i.e. bundling cardboard). Forget using the included crimps - they are 5/8" in size and will not fit in this set's 1/2" crimper. The tensioner/cutter work fine. The 1/2" strap and corner protectors are of decent quality. Overall, not bad for occasional around-the-house use.

My initial use for this banding kit was to strap bundles of elevated roofing slats. They had been bundled before with light duty straps that were sealed by melting them together and those straps had failed.First, let me say the instructions are poorly written using words that don't make sense in English. You can sort of figure out some of them, but largely you must rely on the sketches which are only marginally helpful. With a little trial and error, I pretty quickly figured out how to use the devices.I have provided step by step photos of banding wooden slats. I found the strapping tensioner to be very heavy duty and durable. The gripper that clamps down to hold the strapping does a solid job, the tensioner take-up reel is beefy, and the cutter works well and is sturdy, too.One thing I learned while using the tensioner is that there is no ratchet release of any kind. Once you start ratcheting the band tightly around the bundle, there is no way to release the band without cutting it. This was a problem when I realized the band was not positioned exactly where it should be as I was tightening the band and I wanted to release the pressure to adjust the band around my bundle, but you can't. I ended up cutting the band and starting over. The sealing tool that crimps the metal seal around the bands is a little awkward to use. It takes a bit of strength to fully close and fully crimp the seal and getting it lined up over the seal takes a bit of practice. I squished a few seals improperly, but after a few bundles, I got better at it. The included 5/8" banding and seals makes for an extremely strong banding and I am very happy with the end result.Overall, this is a very good heavy duty banding kit that works well. The instructions need improvement and the overall ease of use was not as easy as I hoped. With practice it becomes better.
