I use 5/16 size a lot and the break or dull (often going from steel to concrete). It is good to have a supply of them at home so a broken drill bit does not stop the job in progress.

I can't count the number of 7/64-inch bits that I have broken. I don't use drill bits very much, but in every drill bit set that I have purchased, this size is the first to go. So I decided to go big and buy a lot of these. So far, I am still using the first bit that I took out of the package. I think this is a great value.

I seen better quality from Princess Auto the drill bit goes doll after the second hole or first hole then breaks or shatters at the end worst drill bits I've ever seen don't waste your money

These coated bits held up to my flooring project and I don't see them failing any time soon. I began a flooring project on the upper level of my house, nearly 550 square feet, although I borrowed my brothers pneumatic flooring nailer, I did not have access to a pneumatic finish nailer, so the first two and last three rows of flooring in each room have to be drilled and blind nailed or drilled and face nailed. I snapped three bits in the first room, I was down to one borrowed bit, so I ordered what I consider to be a "large" 12 pack of these in case I snapped more. They arrived and I finished the second & third room without snapping a single one. So now I've got all these durable bits hanging around; guess I'll put wood floors in the bottom level in the spring to see if I can break any.
