Mold! This hamper is cute, easy to carry and the perfect size for little one. BUT if you put moist or wet clothes in it, it molds. There is no way to wash the hamper other than to wipe it out and the fabric is porous. I wiped it out with bleach and set it in the sun but it still had mildew/mold spots. I did that weekly and this last week the outfit on the bottom was fuzzy with mold. It and this hamper had to go in the trash. We had it over a year before this happened but I would recommend you get a hamper with a washable liner or non-porous.

Looks great in my child's room - not an eyesore and she loves putting her clothes through the X opening (that in itself makes it worth it!)

I wanted a hamper for our baby's room that would allow us to quickly toss soiled clothes and blankets without walking them through the house to our usual hamper. This hamper is the perfect size and looks great in the room (I didn't want a mesh see-through hamper where I'd have to look at dirty clothes all the time). It's very sturdy, light weight, and it will be safe for a growing child (no spots to pinch fingers). Very happy that I spent a little more and invested in this product.

I searched everywhere for a hamper for my infants nursery. I didn't want a wicker one as I thought it might break off pieces that my baby could choke on. I wanted something easy to wipe down and keeps the dirty clothes out of sight. I love this one!

This is a very sturdy hamper and it looks nice too. The handles are cushy & easy to carry, my 6 year carries his clothes to the laundry room with little effort! The opening at the top is easy to get clothes thru but maintains a neat appearance.

It holds my kids dirty clothes perfectly well. They literally stay in it until i take them out. I would definitely recommend to anyone having problems with clothes not staying IN the bin.Also, it looks nice and the green perfectly matches my daughter's hairbrush so that was a plus.

We got fed up with our old hamper always falling over or caving in on itself, so when amazon sent an Amazon Mom promo code, I used it to buy this hamper. We use it in our Master Bath, though it would be cute in a kid's room.The hamper is very sturdy. There is no chance the sides will collapse.The only thing I noticed that is not as advertised is that the flaps in the middle do not collapse from the weight of our clothes (even our heavy adult-sized ones), thereby letting the clothes fall through. We walk our clothes over and push them in. This is not a problem for us at all since our main concern is a sturdy, good-looking hamper. If you buy this for a baby's room and think you can launch a couple onesies at it and they'll fall in the hole, you should know that's not going to happen. (UPDATE: Well I just read a bunch of the reviews again and many mention that the clothes do fall through on their own. Maybe we just got one that has very stiff arms under the flaps.)

It's not as big as I'd like it to be, but at the same time that is ok. Not like I want laundry to pile up past the point of no return. This just helps keep me on the ball of once its filled... time to do the laundry! The lid fits on the inside just fine and it has held up nicely for the past 6 months. Only small downfall was that my youngest leaned over to look inside his (like there was something special on the bottom) and bent the sides a little. Considering it's just a harder cardboard it bent just a little. You can't see it, which is a good thing... but I feel the bent area if I rub my hand on it. That worries me just a little bit because I wonder if it will last just as long as if it weren't bent. Either way, I have yet to be disappointed in any OXO product. The colors are cute and it's engaged my 3 year old interest to keep putting his dirty clothes in there. All around, win-win!

My husband and I recently moved to a new house, so we wanted to purchase new laundry hampers to replace our old plastic ones from Rubbermaid (which were not only dirty--and unable to be cleaned--but also had cracked in places). We pre-sort our laundry into separate hampers, so we considered buying a specialty hamper with sectional dividers. However, none of those seemed very practical, as many were big and bulky, and/or they required dealing with separate canvas bags.We had seen these Oxo hampers and passed over them several times; at first, they seemed too simple to meet our needs. But finally, we reconsidered, coming to the conclusion that simpler was likely better and recognizing that we've always been satisfied with Oxo products. This was a wise decision! We purchased this Oxo Tot Hamper in the Gray-Green color (to use for delicates) as well as two of the full-size for regular laundry (see uploaded photo showing all three hampers in a row in a our bedroom).I was a little worried that these hampers would not be sturdy enough or big enough, but both fears were unfounded. They are almost as large as our old plastic hampers, but because they are square rather than round like our old ones, these hampers seem to hold MUCH more. And they although they are conveniently foldable, they are also extremely sturdy--there is a piece that forms the bottom of the hamper, which also helps the sides to be straight. Furthermore, the sides are not just plastic; there is obviously some denser material underneath shoring them up. The handles are reinforced, making these hampers a cinch to carry, even when full. If it was to be used in a kids room, this Tot hamper would be great not just for clothes but also for stuffed animals, small toys, and more!However, my FAVORITE feature of these hampers has got to be the lids! Call me lazy, but I just hated having to take the lids off our old hampers (they weren't flip tops--you had to take the lid completely off) in order to put the clothes in; it just seemed awkward to have to either hold onto the lid or to set it aside somewhere. With the X-shaped "flip-in" lid, many smaller items slide right in, and larger items need only a gentle push to glide easily into the hamper. Plus, the lids ARE still removable, making for easy emptying of the hampers.We are very satisfied with these hampers so far. I think that the only thing Oxo could do better would be to make them in more colors, but the gray works fine for us; we especially like the green accents of the Tot hamper, as our bedroom has green accents. Highly recommended!

The item arrived in reasonable time and well-wrapped. It was extremely easy to assemble and reasonably cost. You can find cheaper hampers on Amazon, but you'll get what you pay for. That was actually my experience and I'm glad I got this hamper afterward.This is a high-quality, sturdy product and its size is perfect for me. I have been using it for months now and it still looks new AND smells new! I'm guessing this is due to its high quality polyester fabric which resists tear and wear and doesn't absorb bad odors.Overall, a bargain for an attractive household item. I got the Gray/Green and the hamper looked exactly that when it came...just to caution you since the picture here looks more like Off white/Green.
