I buy a ton of Lipo batteries for my RC airplane habit and I've never had a premature failure with his Ovonic brand. On many of my models I push the C rating close to its limit and I've never had a battery more than slightly warm to to touch after pouring on the coals from full charge to 10% in about six minutes on planes with bigger motors. Never seen one get "puffy" even after a couple years.

I was not surprised to find these batteries are top notch quality. I own other versions of OVONIC batteries and I have learned they are reliable and deliver the stated performance. This package included a bonus voltage tester which is much more useful that it might seem. Think of it as sort of a “gas gauge” for how much energy is stored in each cell of the battery pack.I have been using Lipo batteries in my R/C models for years, and I have all the charging/discharging and diagnostic equipment for them.Both of these battery packs exceeded their stated specifications when subjected to testing. Their construction is solid, and these batteries are smaller and lighter weight than most. These features make them even more suitable for use in model aircraft where size and weight are important factors.There is everything to like about these batteries, You simply can’t go wrong with them. They are also a good value.

These batteries came at a storage voltage of 3.82v per cell. Batteries weight was 4.8oz per pack which was 2.2oz lighter than my other 2200mah batteries. These batteries have worked really well in my small float plane.

Perfect size for my Vanquish H-10 Optic. Excellent performance as I have come to expect from OVONIC lipo batteries. Arrived well packaged and all cells equally balanced at a storage charge.

I measured the capacity of both batteries in the voltage range of 3.5v-4.2v/cell at 1c discharge rate. They came out to 3% and 5% over the rated capacity.The batteries aren't anywhere near capable of the claimed C rating. The wires would literally explode.Overall, these are decent batteries for the price. I took one star off for the false C ratings.
