Wow, I should have bought one of these a long time ago. Keeps bugs out. Kind of warm, but I expect all are. I have a wide brimmed hat, like shown, and it works great. When hiking I could put the net up on my hat brim (to be cooler) but then immediately pull it down when we stopped and the bugs were swarming. I liked the wire ring - kept the net away from my face. Easy to fold back up and store in my backpack.

My husband has an old one of these and the spring steel band makes SO much difference in usability over other mosquito nets that lack that feature. Oddly, this one-size-fits-all net is several inches larger around than his net. That makes it a bit awkward for me but I suppose the design adjustment was to accommodate people who wear much larger hats underneath. As lightweight backpackers, this one is heavier by a few ounces than the previous version (that said, I'd take this one any day over a cheap wad-up-in-your-hand net that allows the netting to rest against your face and the mosquitoes to snack on you through it)

I bought this bug net for a Bee Keeper Halloween costume that my girlfriend and I were wearing and I love this thing. It comes in the little carry bag, which is super easy to get back into - partially due to the fact that the carry case is connected to the top of the net, so you will never lose it. It is of very durable construction, and I will definitely wear this net to go hunting and fishing. There is no chance that the tiniest of bugs will slip through the tight netting. Also I want to note that although the netting is extremely tight, it will not damper your ability to see out of it.Another great aspect of this net is the metal ring around the middle of the product. This keeps the netting taunt, and away from your face. This adds to the functionality of the net!

One of my favorite items ever ordered on Amazon! This is such a great product that my husband asked for one for himself and he's not a fussy guy. Thanks to this head net, we have been enjoying our daily walks in the woods during the bug-heavy seasons in Northern VA for over a year and have avoided the orifice-filling gnat infestations. Enough said.The head net fits over various hats--I use one as pictured, my partner uses a pith helmet--and pulls down low enough that you are covered through to your upper chest. The ring at the midway point holds its shape and ensures the net is nowhere near your face allowing plenty of space (for those of us that might feel just a bit claustrophobic). It does take some time getting used to the veiled effect and does darken your view, but this is a small price to pay for bug-free breathing and seeing (ever get one in your eye, now that's a party). As I mentioned, we walk in the woods so the canopy of trees provides a shaded experience, yet it's still easy to see. And in the sunshine, you forget you have it on, it's that light. Highly recommend this item.

The headnet is functional, light weight and of good quality material. The ring in the middel of the net avoid it from collapsing and thus sticking to one's face. I recommend this product for all looking for a good quality headnet.

Overall this is a good product that works well with a small hat such as a deck hand hat like shown, but it's really too small to fit a normal sized hat. The metal ring built in is the biggest plus to this design to keep fabric out of your face and the way it folds into itself is very nice. If your in an area with bug problems this really works well.
