Simple plug and play, plug USB into power and go.Make sure it can see the skyThe product utilizes the GPS to triangulate your speed.Precision? I would not say. BUT is good for approximation compared to an analog speedometer. My Bike has an analog speedometer and I wanted something to give me a much closer idea of what speed I am going with a simple glance. Which is faster than trying to read an analog speedometer while cruising along. There have been several times that it has been seriously inaccurate so keep your wits about you to make a good judgmentFor the purpose and function, this is perfect for what I need. I cannot really tell a 5 mile per hour difference but between the currently flow of traffic, experience with the traffic, and quick glance at the digital, I am golden.
