Bore Brushes (and Chamber Brushes)
Otis brushes have a proprietary Tufcor core wire that is corrosive-resistant with a tighter twist for better bristle retention and brush life. With twice the fill of other brushes and bristles right to the end, you get superior quality and precision cleaning every time. Depending on the kit, you may get bronze and nylon brushes, or a chamber brush for MSR/AR platform rifles.
Cables & Components
All kits include aircraft grade coated flexible cables that will not damage your firearm. With an 8-32 thread end that allows you to switch between bore brush, slotted tip or obstruction remover, while also fitting snug into the pull handle for a better grip while cleaning Breech-to-Muzzle. Pistol length cables come with an affixed slotted tip.

100% Cotton Patches (10)
Our 100% cotton, 2 & 3 inch cotton cleaning patches will have you covered for all your rifle variants. When used in conjunction with a slotted tip, you can ensure a 360 degree contact in the bore. Proprietary design allows each patch to be used up to 6 times. Depending on the kit, you will get 2 or 3 inch patches, or both.
Ripcord, Pull-Through Bore Cleaner
All kits come with a Ripcord, specific to the caliber selected. Ripcords deliver the best one-pass cleaning you can get for your firearm. Run it through your gun right after use (the Nomex coating can withstand temperatures up to 700 degrees F) from Breech-to-Muzzle, with no gravity feed necessary.
Solid Rod Set
The solid steel rod set can be used in conjunction with the obstruction remover to remove stuck cases or debris, as well as the chamber brush to clean the chamber of MSR/AR rifles.
All-Purpose Brush
All Defender Series kits include a stiff blue nylon All-Purpose Brush, which has bristles on both ends. The large end allows for surface scrubbing, while the small end allows for precision cleaning of hard to reach areas.

In my opinion, Otis gun cleaning kits are the best. I have them for all my different calibers. They are the only cleaning kit I use now. I have tried many others that do not compare.

New firearm owner and was in need of a cleaning kit for a 9mm and 5.56 rifle. Luckily Otis has the combo caliber and made it easy. The kit gave me a good foundation to build from as I also have a .22 rifle that only needs a few pieces to be able to use parts from the kit to clean. Overall, worth the buy as it came in a nice case and handy attachments.

Great kit! Does NOT come with a T-Handle, which tempted me to lower the rating, but I called Otis customer service and they picked up quickly and sent me one at no charge! Highly recommend!

I use quite a few Otis products. Used them in the service, but they offer a lot more products these days. They are constantly innovating and this kit has everything for my SCAR20. Really top shelf and well worth a few extra dollars vs other brands.

Kit works great. I Have multiple Otis kits in different calibers. I'm guessing alot of the bad reviews are from user error. Just make sure your kit is new and not used. Amazon sent me a kit that had obviously been opened and used. I contacted support and said I'd keep the kit if they would discount it. They offered a $13 discount on a $65 kit. Lol I returned it and bought the same kit sold from Amazon warehouse for $20. It was in better condition than the supposedly new kit they sent me first.

I have a few of these now. The pouch they come in is nice. Holds all the small olds and ends nicely. The 5.56/9mm had enough room for a few spare parts for the AR and a bore snake or two. I wish the rods were coated or a different material but I don't use them for daily cleaning. Perfect for throwing in a double mag pouch on a plate carrier or your choice. Only thing it's missing is grease for a M1A and a scrapper for carbon.i just add those two items and they do anything I could need in the field in addition to my multi tool. Good little kit for someone on the move. Only other thing I would like to see is different choice in pouch color and molle/pals webbing. But i knew that when I bought it. Good product never the less. A little expensive but they haven't broke or failed me yet so I can't complain.
