I didn't want to pay 30$ for buying a steamer pan and didn't want to use my Instant Pot for steaming a small amount of veggies for my toddler.The 5.5 inches streamer is not just much cheaper than buying a full steamer pan but fits perfectly into my Pyrex saucepan.It's very well built and heavy steel from German company.I steam veggies fresh for every toddler meal and the 5.5 inches is the perfect size. You may want to go for a bigger size if you wanna make the veggies for multiple meals.

Not made in Germany despite name and flag tag. Diamond shaped holes punched from inside to out leaving rough burred edges. If manufacturer cared about Quality, punched holes would be round and the outside de-burred and polished smooth. Two stars for sturdiness - metal gauge is not flimsy.

With all the viral suggestions to steam potatoes instead of boiling them, I had to try it! On a moment’s notice, I got this basket and it worked fine. There are a couple of discolored spots in the bottom of the basket, but they don’t affect the cooking. Thanks for the quick delivery of just what I needed when I needed it.

Is a great basket, sturdy and light at the same time but I need it a wider basket this one is to small for the Instant Pot Rio Wide.
