It will do what a shackle is supposed to do, however, these aren't built like they should be. The grease zerks appear to be for show only, as the U-shackle body is not drilled to accept grease and get it to the center area of the bushing. The end of the threaded bushing is drilled as you can see in the photo, but the grease will dead end at the end of the undrilled shackle which does no good. If you wish to add grease, unthread the bushing and coat the shackle.
