Doesn’t matter if I wash by hand or by dishwasher. These stains are permanent. Think it is related to the rubber coating. This cup is only 10 months old!

Very nice quality mug. It looks amazing, it's a good size, and I like the more squared shape. My only concern is with the soft touch finish. Under the product description in Amazon, there is a question section where someone asked if the mug is microwaveable, and the answer was yes. When I received the mug, the care instructions said not to place it in the microwave or dishwasher. I decided to try the microwave, and so far it seems mostly ok; the soft touch finish looks to be coming off the lip of the mug, but I can't tell if that's from microwaving it, or from the lid going on and off.
