This definitely makes long gaming sessions more comfortable. It has the actual Nintendo logo printed in the middle, and the box looked pretty official too, though it did not say “Nintendo” on the box. I’m very satisfied. I love that you can charge the controllers while playing, too!

At $20, this is an excellent alternative to the official charging grip which costs $10 more. (It's honestly baffling to me why Nintendo chose to release a non-charging grip in the first place.) That said, I do question the legitimacy of this product.Senboma describes their product as an "OEM Switch controller" but that seems unlikely. There's no mention of Nintendo on the box or the included materials. Also, the official Joy-Con Charging Grip is still being produced and sold by Nintendo. Moreover, the product images on Amazon don't match the actual product. Both the grip and the included charging cable have Nintendo branding and that's not being depicted. (As an aside, the branding looks really nice. It's embossed.) There are also more clues in the product name itself. It's called a "Comfort Charging Grip". This is a reference to the two products offered by Nintendo, the Comfort Grip and the Charging Grip.That aside, the build quality is pretty decent. The materials feel mostly the same as the Comfort Grip that came with my Nintendo Switch. Joy-Cons slide in easily and lock in place. LED's light up and function as expected. Charging also works as expected. My only real complaints are the plastic feels slightly cheap, and there's a noticeable seam on the right handle of my controller. It's not sharp thankfully, but I do feel it whenever I move my palm.

Its super convenient using the usb C to charge my joycons instead of having to get up and dock them with my switch! It is OEM it just comes in a different box.
