Way cheaper than genuine John Deere, and actually last longer. JD lasted just over 12 month, after replacing 2 went to these, lasted over 5 years

My starter bushing failed on my 2019 835r. This one fits even though at the time I purchased it didn’t list 835 only 825. Savings over ones listed for 835. It’s the exact same as they use the same engine. Works like a charm. Sitting in my gator writing this review.

This is an exact match for John Deere AUC17849 and MIA11732 starter. Works great but noticed it's not as strong as the original. Most people wont even notice because the engine will still start like always. It really isn't worth the extra $100 it would cost to get what ever brand John Deere uses. This starter is just fine.Note that you will have to take a lot of stuff off the gator to remove the old starter and put this one in. It's a little ridiculous, but that's how things are done now. John Deere wants you to bring it to the dealer and spend $1000 for them to do it.

I ordered two of the starters, one for each of our John Deere Gators. Had them installed and one Gator quit running after about two months. Took for repair to John Deere and told them “it can’t be the starter as it was just replaced,” so they checked everything and guess what, it was the starter. Now I am out $250 for a starter and probably double for labor. The other JD Gator is still working, but I am worried it won’t last. Not sure if I just got one bad starter or if they are both faulty. Disappointed.

Have to open the coolant system to install a starter on this model so make sure you have coolant and bleed the air out. Fit great and works great at a fraction of the cost of part store and or John Deere
