As an audiologist, I have used many otoscopes. I wanted a scope to use at home to check my son’s ears. I was tired of having to take my Welch Allyn scope from work to my house - and feared I would forget it at home. So, I purchased this scope. The quality and magnification is very poor. No comparison at all to an actual, professional otoscope. Very minimal clarity, and poor magnification. Also, they do not include paediatric speculum. Overall, I recommend searching for a more effective otoscope.

I was hoping this otoscope would enable me to see what is going on with my cat's ears, as she is constantly shaking her head. It did not. I realize cat's ears are far different from human ears, being twisty and bumpy. The light is simply not strong enough. The flashlight on my phone did a better job. I also did not see any magnification. The case is nice.

Hate buying one time use batteries but I had to because my rechargeables wouldn't fit. Pretty annoying. Other than that it's fine.
