These seem like a good compromise between compression and comfort. They provide some shaping, but it’s not going to make everybody think you lost 20 pounds and lived in a gym over the weekend. But they are not as uncomfortably tight as some other compression garments. You may still need to take them on and off like a dress, but I find that unless my skin is wet, I can usually get them on and off like any other shirt- albeit a very tight shirt.

Perhaps this was a user error, but I order the normal size shirt that I would get and when getting these shirts on - they were... really tight. I understand how compression shirts work and why they would need to be tight in order for them to achieve their objective, but I felt like these were possibly a little too tight for even that use case. Overall, they do compress and can give a nicer look; however, if I were to do it again, I would order a size larger.

Sad to say, I’ve slacked off over the last couple years and gotten decently out of shape. I’ve generally got an athletic build, but lately I’ve got some extra weight I’m carrying around, especially in the midsection which I need to work off. While this isn’t a solution, until I get those extra pounds off, I thought a compression shirt like this could help eliminate some of that “dad bod” look I was picking up. For reference I’m 5’10”, 220lbs.Pros:+ Works reasonably well to tighten up the stomach area.+ Despite the compression it isn’t at all uncomfortable to wear all day under a t-shirt.+ The material is soft and feels fine against the skin. It isn’t like a cotton t-shirt, but it feels just fine under one.+ They are pretty long, and you can add a little extra midsection compression by doubling back over your stomach with the extra length.+ Really good value for the money considering how many of them you get, this costs almost the same as a pack of plain white undershirts.+ No special care needed, just throw it in with the rest of the laundry.Cons:- Due to the nature of this type of shirt, it can be a challenge to get back out of it. The trick I’ve found is to stick your elbows into the bottom, then lever it up over your shoulders.- Not really a con but worth noting, is that while it does firm up the midsection nicely, it is nowhere near what the photos show. To achieve that effect I suppose maybe if you went down a full size or two, but I suspect that would be quite uncomfortable, and likely make it hard to breathe.Overall, these work pretty well to give you a less sloppy appearance. If the dad-bod thing is starting to creep up on you and you’ve got a bit of a gut you’d like to conceal, this will definitely do the trick.Photos: First two are me without the shirt underneath as a baseline, the next three are with it on, and the last two are with it doubled up over stomach using the extra at the bottom.
