The fan motor bearings in my bathroom exhaust fan had worn out, resulting in a deafening noise every time the fan was used. This was not appreciated by my wife when I used the bathroom in the middle of the night. This fan motor/blower assembly was actually intended for use with a different sub-model of my Broan fan, but a few quick passes with a cutoff wheel on my Dremel enlarged the cutout for the electrical connectors. At long last, the shrieking banshee of the bathroom has been put to rest!

The fan replacement was super easy to install and was an exact duplicate of the one in my fan. Noise was the same as when new. Not quiet, but bearable. No more clunking noises from the old fan!

Bought this to replace a NuTone 8663 rp "b" unit long past it's prime.Despite others' experience, I actually did not have an issue with the plug cut out or the fit of this motor assembly (see pic). The fit was just right, had to finagle the fan into the housing (use your finger , thru the plug cut out) but it was perfect, no obstruction.Noise level is loud, granted, but never obnoxious or disturbing. If you also have a light fixture, I suspect that could be the reason for the increased noise. However, It makes up for noise with it's power and efficiency. Previous fan left moisture build up for hours, it would be easier to just leave the door open. This new one didn't leave a spot on the mirror even under the hottest temperatures, something I can't recall the old fan ever being able to accomplish. Meaning we turn it off sooner.Very good buy, would highly recommend. Keep in mind I purchased around July 2021 , shipped from: Free_in_Shipping.

Replacing bathroom fans with new models is very difficult but finding this was a huge timesaver. Removed one screw on the old one and popped this one in. Easy, peasy, lemon, squeezey. This unit was used to replace a 16 year old Nutone. See attached picture. I’m actually going to order another one so that I can replace it again in 15 years. 😁

This replacement fan was a perfect fit and exact model replacement for the one in my fan housing. The old fan kept slipping off the spindle and grinding on the housing, this one has been in service for several weeks and still runs perfect.Make sure this fits your model of fan housing as for some like mine it was an exact direct replacement and others it will technically work but may not be exact but there is nothing wrong with the product.CAUTION: As with all these fan products ALWAYS wear protective gloves ( I wear 5Mil disposable gloves ) as the sheet metal has very sharp edges(I have seen units ship with blood on them from the factory).

Perfect fit to replace my NuTone 671RB, which has been discontinued. It's noisy, but moves air well and for a commercial environment it's great. Was easy to remove the old unit and replace with this exact fit.

I have three of the bath exhaust fans that these work in. After a few years of abuse (leaving them on all day) the fan part wears out. The rest of the guts of the fan are fine, so only the fan assembly needs to be replaced. Instead of spending over $100 to buy a replacement fan and just use the fan assembly, this is a much better option. After unplugging the fan and removing the bulbs, one wing nut and one Phillips head screw are all that need to be removed in order take out the old fan assembly.I simply put the new fan assembly in, put the screw and wing nut back on, reinstall the light bulbs and plug it in. You don't need to do any electrical wiring. All you have to do is plug in into the remaining box that is in the ceiling. It couldn't be any easier. It is literally not more than a five minute job for sometime with little or no mechanical ability. The fan is as good as new and I have a happy family with fog free mirrors. I finally decided to install timer switches to limit the amount of time they are on and make them last longer. Since I have three fans, I ordered a spare to keep on the shelf.

Wow, what an easy installation! I'm habitual DIY'er (why pay for something I can do myself) and this was so easy I felt like I was robbing someone. Our fan was making an awful noise so when I removed the light (only one nut holding light fixture in place and one molex type electrical connector so no wire nuts and splices to deal with) to get to the fan, I noticed the metal flange/frame was warped.Assembly removes easily from the ceiling as it's only held by one phillips head screw and the two tabs shown at top of the product picture. Power is supplied by a 2 prong plug (some type of NEMA 1-15P or 5-15P) so again, no wire nuts to mishandle or drop in the toilet. The warped flange combined the motor noise and a fan blade that was literally crumbling in my hands convince me to go ahead and buy this whole assembly... which was actually cheaper than piecing it out. The longest part of the reinstall was waiting for the product in the mail and then it was literally a 5min job. Very satisifed and will probably buy another to have on hand when our other bathroom fan goes bad.

Works and fits perfectly to replace our old noisy seized up bath fan. I gave 4 stars because It is pretty loud (but so was our old one even when working) I was hoping it was more quiet, but works great. Just a tip... If you can avoid using powders in your bathrooms your fan motors will last WAY longer! We have 3 of these in each of the bathrooms in our home. of the 2 in the full baths of our home 1 has gotten pretty dusty due to body powder with cornstarch in it. The other in our master bath was CAKED inside when I opened it up to the point where it seized up due to the corn starch baby powder and I think mainly powdered mineral makeup which both are very fine texture and float into the air and sucked up by the fan...I couldn't even clean it out it was stuck in there! I imagine NOT good for the lungs either! I refuse to use those products anymore after seeing this! For the health of me and my fans :) The one in the 1/2 bath is original to the house built in 1987 and still works fine. No powders used in there...... and open them up and vacuum them every few months.
