I have suffered for 30 years making do with the thread "teeth" gauges. It is sometimes hard to decide between various threads with metric and standard. I finally broke down and purchased this item. It is GREAT! I should have ordered it years ago. It is well made. The case has a metal rod for a hinge instead of just plastic (great!). When you remove one of the bolt/nut checkers there is a little bit of grip that the case provides (great). When I selected this unit it had "extra" checkers that some of the other kits did not have. I have already used it four times this month. The bolt/nut checkers are well made and screwed on smoothly with the nuts and bolts I needed to check. I do like that the paper guide in the lid provides a better view of the sizes and threads than is shown in the plastic. The locking mechanism on the case also works smoothly. Each of the thread checkers are engraved with the bolt size and thread designation (see photo #2). I would purchase this item again without hesitation.

Good fit and finish. substantial case, good for the shop, large and heavy for transporting. Markings could have better contrast or engraving, but sizes are also embossed in the case.
