Except for the size discrepancy, I would give this boot a 4/5. It's well constructed, light weight, a harder sole than the Nunn Bush chukka I ordered 6 years ago; however, I wear a 10.5 wide shoe in all my other brands and styles, including the last pair of Nun Bush, but this length is more like an 11. I don't know whether I'll keep it or send it back.

shoes do run wider than normal---ordered a wide, however a little too wide..

Received as committed... New in the box... Well wrapped... The boots look great and are just as pictured and described... These will be great for daily wear and errand running with a pair of blue jeans or khaki pants... TWO THINGS TO CONSIDER....1. They boots are more of an everyday fashion boot and NOT necessarily intended for working outdoors...2. The tongue is free flapping and without a gusset... Your feet WILL GET WET if encountering water above the bottom lace/top of shoe front...I'm happy and keeping them...

This is a nice shoe, but be aware the WIDE version is EXTRA WIDE. I've been wearing wide my entire life and never put on such a wide shoe. I LOVE that they're thinking of us people with wide feet, but it was a bit too wide! :) I ended up buying 3 pairs before finally getting a 9 STANDARD width before they were OK and even those were very slightly too wide. However, I will say that most people in the world probably wear a shoe that is too tight and then when we get one that fits a tad loose, we think it's no correct. Overall, I love the shoe and will adjust my way of thinking about width with these. I know my feet will thank me.
