WHERE IT CONNECTS... The extension cable has a "male" end connector and a "female" end connector. Simply plug the male 2.5mm TRS connector of your E3 remote into the female end of the extension cord. The male end of the extension cord then plugs into the female E3 receptacle on your camera.

Wasn't sure if this would work with my Canon R6 and the wired remote that I use. But it does and adds lots of extra line so that I don't have to be 3 feet from the camera.I Recommend

I picked this up after much research to have not only a remote shutter release but it can trigger video record on a Canon EOS 90D on my jib with a few in camera menu configurations. I have also tested this with an extension cable and it appears to work up to 40 feet in length.I do not always use this method but it’s a great addition to my kit for when I don’t have an Assitant or when the countless items on set use phone apps. (I hate committing $1000 phones to doing tasks a simple cable can do!)

I really like the long cord for my remote picture snapper. I stand in a large family group picture and take a picture further away from the camera. The original remote was only 3' long so you were right on top of the camera. So now I do not have to set the timer and run into the family grouping before the shutter takes the photo. It's a perfect length and not big and bulky.

I purchased this to use as a extension cable for a Logitech Harmony Hub IR blaster. I know that is not it’s intent, but it works great. It is a TRS or 3 conductor wire, I needed a TS or 2 conductor but this worked perfect.

Just fine... It doesn't tangle and gives a solid signal...the tips also feel quite solid
