Purchased these to have a better assortment of tamales to be stacked straight up - i do love these - i can place them in all assorted sized pots - wihich is amazing- however they are flimsy . Other than that- works well

I like them ..use for my dutch oven on the stove...keeps bottom from burning works welluse small ones to steam vegetablesvery useful

I have been using the folding type of steamer basket with crabs and lobsters. It was pretty inadequate and usually resulted in crabs being more boiled than steamed. But this steam rack fits my pot perfectly such that there's no way a struggling crab or lobster will ever push it aside. Furthermore the elevation of the rack allows for enough water to insure it is not boiled off during steaming.

I bought these to steam smaller batches of tamales. I liked the smaller dimensions but the feet were a bit too high for my pots unless I had a dome cover for them and they are not very sturdy.

Since I received the steaming racks, I almost obsessed with steaming. I have studied a lot dishes, such as steam fish, spaghetti, egg and so on. Steaming is unlike boiling, it can keep the meat or vegetable more fresh.and taste better.
