I use two NiteRider lights, the Dual 1800 and the OLED 1200. I use them with different bikes and need clips on each handlebar. The bars on my MTB's are big Deity bars (31.8 and a 35) and the original screw on clips were fine. I wanted to mount a NiteRider clip to my electric scooter which has really small bars so I need this stretchy strap style mount.I thought the stretch part was going to be wimpy, soft, and pliable like so many cheap-o clip light strap. This thing is VERY strong. I would trust this anywhere. You really have to pull that through the clip with some reasonable force. The rubber strap is very heavy and of a respectable quality. Once I went to install this I have no concerns about the durability of it anymore. I'm even considering getting another one and switching the clip on the bars of my Stumpjumper or Santa Cruz Chameleon with one of these. You could possibly put like one wrap of hockey tape underneath it if your bars have a very slick finish and you want a tiny bit more grip from something like the cloth texture of hockey tape, but still I'd say this is a good as any clip you would want to mount an expensive NiteRider light with. I'm only using the 1200 on my hardtail and on the street with the scooter. The DUAL 1800 light is of more weight than the OLED1200 but it still holds that one very well.

As described and a perfect fit. Pull the trigger...especially if you need a back up.

The big benefit of elastic handlebar straps is that it easy and quick to move your light from one bike to another. Not so with this strap. It is poorly designed in such a way that it is very difficult to thread the strap through the clasp, making it very difficult and time consuming to move the strap from one bike to another.Other than that is seems to work well.

My bar is 7/8" (22.2 mm) diameter at the location for mounting the light. This mount grips it well and seems less vulnerable to tipping under jarring loads as compared to the clamp style mounts that come with some NiteRider lights, and are also available for separate purchase. The strap mount also seems to grip better than the clamp mount on the tapered portion of my bar, if I were to choose to move the light to that location. Finally, I like the ability to order just the mount, in case I were to lose it or I wanted to have a mount on both my street and my mountain bikes.

Clamp is working well on standard and aero forks as well as handlebars.Use a wire/plastic twist tie to make a leader to thread the strap through the catch when installing on larger forks.

My Giant has their proprietary, and inconvenient for lights/GPS, Conduct braking system. The shape of the unit plus the cabling makes it very tricky to use traditional light and GPS brackets. This rubber strap is narrow and pliable, ideal!!Very happy now with the bike and the ability to mount my Lumina 1200 Boost :)

Me gusta que no esta tan aparatoso como los originales que bienen con la lampara y es mucho mas practico de instalar

This mount is a much better design than the old screw style. It is a lower profile, so it doesn't interfere with other cables and accessories. It is quicker to get on and off. It is a tighter fit with the light which prevents the light from jiggling. It fits even the 35 mm clamp handlebars. It's just as secure of a hold on the bars, and is plenty durable, plus it's not too expensive, and works with the lights that came with the old style clamp. A great mount for great lights. Good design work, Niterider.
