My grandson loved this as part of his Christmas gift bag.. of course they smell like tires they're made of rubber that is not a hindrance though it's common sense..

So, we have only been playing with these since yesterday, but for the price they're pretty great. Reasonably flat, reasonably flexible, heavy enough to throw but not heavy enough to hurt (I wouldn't want to get one in the eye, but that's a risk with throwing just about anything). I think this rubber is the right material for a play/toy ninja star.

I got these as a birthday gift for a 9 year old boy, he does lots of martial arts and he was and is obsessed with these. They have enough weight that they fly when you throw them, but not enough to cause real damage. A super cute interactive gift for the active little boy in your life!

My son loved getting these items for Christmas. They are great quality and look nice. They do need to air out a bit when you first open the package. Smells like a rubber tire store. He's had lots of fun practicing throwing them.

Very disappointed, especially since this was the second purchase that I have made. I ordered 3 dozen and received a total of 35 ninja stars. Also, in the picture of the item it shows 3 different ninja stars and I only received 2 types of ninja stars. The more attractive 8 point ninja star, I did not receive ANY in my purchase. My first purchase was for one child for a Halloween costume this last year. This purchase was going to be for two other children’s birthday gifts, since these two children have admired these ninja stars. Actually, one ninja star in particular and that ninja star was the one with 8 points that I DID NOT receive ANY of.

My son needed a ninja set for Christmas, but all the other ones I found were cheap plastic sets. Not these, they are sturdy and not too hard. They went over well with everyone. They do smell strongly of tires when first opened however.
