I made a bad mistake and did not wear padding my first mountain biking trip, 30 miles without padding was so uncomfortable. These shorts are super comfy, nearly negate the hard seat, but still feel breathable enough. Mine were a little large, so I wear a layer under them.

Whenever these came up in my feed I would laugh, as they remind me of certain baboons who have brightly colored rear ends :D Fortunately that part goes on the inside of the garment, and wow do they help with comfort! The fit feels a bit awkward, and my first reaction when I opened them was that they were way too big, but once I pulled them on they felt quite secure, though the waistband did go above my belly button. In terms of performance, they're fantastic - while I already have a gel seat on my exercise bike, this substantially increases the comfort level and helps protect the perenium/prostate. Note I went with the sizing guidance in the description and got a medium when I would have gotten a small - I think a small would have been slightly better of a fit, but the medium is fine.

These cycling underwear shorts, which I received through Vine, are great for comfort on long rides. The padded gel cushioning provides excellent support. Its breathable fabric keeps things cool and dry. It fits snugly without being too tight. They work well under any cycling shorts or pants.

I’ve been using these cycling underwear shorts for a while now, and they make a huge difference in comfort during long rides.The 5D padded gel cushioning provides excellent support, reducing soreness, especially on rough trails. The material is breathable and lightweight, keeping me cool and dry. They fit well under my regular shorts and don’t bunch up or shift while riding.A great choice for any cyclist looking for extra comfort and protection. Highly recommend!

My main complaint is these don't have any nylon or elasticity in the thighs and they creep up while riding.They're sized a hair larger than other brands, but even going down a size wouldn't solve my problem.The padding is quite nice, but unfortunately for me, they ride up my thighs and chafe.

They're padded where they need to be BUT the padding is insufficient. I tried these several times and noticed soreness where I was not accustomed to it using my old shorts with blue padding. I went back to the old ones and no more soreness. I'm about 160 pounds on the thin side but these Niksa shorts started to be a bit painful after just a few miles and then got worse. I was able to complete my 10 mile rides but see no reason to use them again. Fail.
