I like the camera very much, but it didn't come with a manual or a strap.

I have ruined cameras shooting stills or video in the rain, but never again. This waterproof unit is excellent! I use it for stills and videos on land, and IN THE SEA. I so a local cable access TV show in my city and have produced excellent results when shooting segments IN A POOL or IN THE OCEAN! I covered a US Marine Corps League Polar Plunge fund raiser event on a beach at Cape Cod, Massachusetts... It was 10 degrees (F) and a medium surf. A young man agreed to carry the camera in video mode on a selfie stick when he ran and plunged into the water and ran OUT even faster... All captured in brilliant video and sound giving my viewers an up close feel for doing such a Polar Plunge. I have a lot of professional Nikon camera's and lenses but I always carry this as a back-up! It's never let me down.....

I've always loved my Coolpix 2100, small with great pictures, easier to take on trips than my SLR. Unfortunately, it didn't like the spray at Niagara falls and died. I bought this W300 to take its place, especially since it's waterproof. It's easy to use and takes great pictures and video. Higher resolution than the 2100 (16 MP vs 2.1), very crisp and clean. I haven't had opportunity to take underwater or snorkeling yet, but am very pleased with Nikon quality.

Excelente cámara, la utilizo para fotografías de trabajo en entorno industrial y está perfecta por la agresividad ambiental y el uso rudo al qué la someto

The quality is outstanding. I am taking pictures at Coney IslandI shot the New Year’s Day polar bear swim. Was amazed how well it worked. I didn’t want to take my canon EOS 5D Mark IV in the waterIt’s a slightly panoramic image. The skin tones are great and the lens is very sharp. It also shoots at 300dpi giving a high quality print. I printed them on Epson Lustre paper 11.7x16.5 paper. Image size is 14 horizontal super sharp

LIKES:This waterproof P&S conceals a host of really interesting features. Like its little brother the W100, its a rugged camera that defies water [just follow the instructions, and don't take the toaster into the tub, OK?]• I can pull serious b&w images by desaturating the color menu, adjust exposures via the +/- thumb wheel. For the tech-weenies out there the RGB pixel pile in photoshop showed all heaps as exactly the same.• Color can be as lush or modulated as you want, like when shooting people under tree canopies and that green is doing things to their faces etc.• Native image size is 14x11 at 300dpi. The Bluetooth upload to your camera is a half-size jpg ready for IG, FB or whatever web destination.DISLIKES:• Zoom tends to interpolate pixels. Stick w native wide angle.• The SnapBridge software is a bit clumsy on install, don't rush it. Directions are cryptic. It took me several tries.• Camera only came with a neck strap. This is the only time I've ever used a wrist-strap, and I found mine attached to a junk camera in a thrift shop for $3.MEH: The usual clutter of post-effects. I ignore them. If I want a glaze, I'll get a donut. Facial recognition? didn't use it.

Supposed to be a rugged all weather camera...bought this to replace the sonyRX 100 mark 2, as i dint want to carry the housing..& w300 is supposed to be water proof to 30 mtrs witout housing in fact supposedbto be all proof. It takes good pics & videos but it keeps fogging all the time ..it fogs underwater, it fogs in sunlight, it fogs everywhere within a short time of use...unless there is fix for this fogging( condensation on the lens & sometimes on the screen too) there is no point in buying this cam..2 stars only for the few pics it takes before fogging u..otherwise zero stars....Highly disappointed...hope nikkon has a fix for this problem at the earliestAnyone know how to stop this fogging issues in the lens & screen, kindly let me knowThanks

Some goods and bads with this one. The rattling as others mentioned can be annoying. Performance is fine once you learn its limits. I have found the flash, and custom flash controls, to be excellent and helps to compensate for its limits. I do miss the folding screen of my old TG 870 which was perfect for snorkeling and off angle shots which happen with some regularity with this class of camera. Surprise feature: Direct micro USB charging! No proprietary wires to lose or wall plug thingy's, and you can recharge on the go using standard cell phone battery banks. Bravo! I would not recommend the CP3 silicone jacket - looks cool but adds too much size with no real function.

So far so good. I had the AW120 prior to this but that one suffered water damage. This one is working well so far and has all the modes from previous versions and more. It also comes with Snapbridge support so it can automatically transfer photos to your mobile device for easy sharing. It is built tough, takes good photos, and works well in the water. I would still recommend getting some insurance to replace the camera if water ever damages it.
