NICHE CV Axle Boot Kit Information

What is a CV Boot?

  • CV boots or drive axle boots are responsible for keeping the joints lubricated and preventing dirt and water from getting in

Why Replace?

  • When left unattended, it’s only a matter of time before the joint fails from lack of lubrication or corrosion. When that happens, the whole axle may need to be replaced

How Often?

  • These parts should be inspected on your vehicle ONCE A YEAR or more often on high-mileage vehicles or severe off-road use or rough conditions

Make sure you have proper tools for bands, boot kits usually come with it included.

One of the inside boots the smaller end on the axle was over size and grease was ooozing out so were used a small 1/4" hose clamp to gain tightness. Used original boot clamps from Yamaha after carefully removingthem from old boots. The clamps with package are hard to pull tight and then snip off excess with pair of cutters.BUT...OEM is around 40 to 60 per boot...so at what we spent really can't complain. If you have decent mechanical ability you can make these work.PS: we over research these and correctly specified 2002 Yamaha Big Bear 400 4x4...said these fit

Shipped fast, great quality. The clamps aren’t the best. Try to re-use the OEM clamps by removing them gently.
