The first gasket which is the big O-ring doesn't fit. it was wayy too big. I had to cut it with a scissors.I did not get to remove the whole assembly cause I don't know if it's gonna fit.Car is still leaking

I was able to install on 2012 Jetta 2.5L. Gasket was slightly big, but I got it to work. On the second kit, gasket was way too big for 2010 Jetta 2.5L. I had to return and used more expensive kit https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LCDMYSC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Which fit perfectly.

Let me start by saying, I am a very capable mechanic. This outer gasket did not fit and was too big. I put it in the freezer for 30 mins and still did not come close to fitting. It's a simple part but when you rely on having a correct part after you disassemble a lot of parts, it is very frustrating and costly to put everything back, including the original gasket b/c you have to buy another gasket. After reading comments, and that some were able to use this gasket, it's possible that the gasket is faulty is a certain percent of cases. Meaning there is little to no quality assurance with is product. I would highly recommend NOT taking a chance with this part since there is a fare amount of reviews that say there's did not fit either. I would like returned the couple of hours of time invested to not fix this problem b/c of a faulty part.

Overall a good product. Only issue is large o-ring is slightly smaller than recess it is supposed to fit into. Pressing it into the recess and getting it to stay long enough to place the cover panel on and start the screws took about a half hour of fiddling around. A third hand (my wife's) did the trick. Patience is a virtue.

Perfect kit to stop that nasty oil leak. Comes with the seal for the vacuum pump cover as well so you don't have to pull the transmission..
