Takes awhile to find the right temp and time for cooking. But easy to cook in. Wanted something that cooks at a higher temp than our home oven and this does.

This pizza oven works GREAT!!! Love it!! Just wish it would have come w/directions as well as the actual temperature numbers on the dial (so you know what temp the oven is set at).It is a larger counter-top item, so plan on it taking up some space.

There are several great things about this pizza oven and a few draw backs. It's more compact than many of the other electric pizza ovens rated for in-home use. It comes with everything you need to get started (oven, peel, door, ceramic stone, and outdoor cover). You can take it camping but you will have to find a plug nearby or bring a power bank that can handle 1800w draw. The cord is only 5 feet long, plan accordingly. The instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired. I looked up tutorials and found those easy enough to follow. It works as a countertop oven or outside on a patio. If you are going to use it inside, open a few windows the first couple of times you use it because it will create some smoke if any ingredients fall onto the stone. I highly recommend trying out a cold fermented pizza dough recipe as it cooks evenly with less fuss and taste great. If this is your first time using a pizza oven, you might want to turn it down to about three-fourths power (about 600 degrees) for your first couple of pizzas. This oven doesn't have a bunch of extra bells and whistles. It's not an all-in-one oven, smoker, and grill. It doesn't have Bluetooth, it won't play your favorite song, or beep at you when your food is ready. What it does do is cook a pretty tasty pizza.

Description says for home and outdoor. I WOULD NOT USE IN HOME IT SMOKES TOO MUCH. It definitely takes getting used to. I've made 3 pizzas so far and learned not to pile on the toppings, because of the space between the pizza and the top heating coils. Best to use temp at max. Pizza tends to get burnt the closest to the back of the ceramic stone so you want to turn it a couple times while cooking. Not as user friendly as I expected but with time and practice you can get it down.

This cooks the perfect pizzas and you just have to peek inside to make sure it is cooked to perfection. Great oven and so easy to use.

We LOVE this pizza oven! We have 5 grandkids, and they all made their own pizzas just the way they wanted them (the adults made pizzas, too). The pizzas, they only took about 3 minutes each to bake. We loved watching the crust rise in the oven. We followed the instructions for the initial 20 minute 'burn' before putting food in it. And that was it for the prep, the pizza oven was ready to go (other than installing the screws for the door and slide pan. There were no instructions on how to actually use the pizza oven or how to bake a pizza in the oven, but there are plenty of YouTube videos demonstrating this oven. I learned that using this oven outdoors is a must due to the smoke (especially after a few pizzas when the flour chars). I also learned that there is a definite learning curve, and after a few pizzas, you figure out what works best. About 3 minutes was the right time for us, and as I baked more pizzas, I turned the heat dial down, just a little. There is no temperature reading on the dial, just off and max - which gets to well over 500 degrees. All of our pizzas turned out great! The cleanup was easy, just let the unit cool down completely, and brush off the debris (you do not wash the pizza stone). For the next use, flip the stone over to the clean side and anything on the dirty side will burn off to ash, similar to using a grill. We definitely love this pizza oven! Very easy to use and clean up. It can be stored outside. It would have been nice if there were more instructions with it, but you can find plenty of info online. We are going to make dessert pizzas next weekend!

UPDATE! I tried using the oven outside the outlet sparked and caught on fire!! THIS OVEN IS NOT USABLEThis thing smokes A LOT! The peel that is provided is missing a screw so it is unusable. The stone had many black spots on it already which led me to believe it was already used. When doing the 20 minute smoke off the oven produced a lot of smoke and made my smoke alarms go off. When making my first pizza I made sure that the sauce and topping would not spill onto the stone to reduce the smoking but sadly my entire house was filled with smoke and we were not able to produce a good tasting pizza before coughing up a lung from the smoke production. I am very angry at the inaccuracy of the product description and do not believe I received a satisfactory product. This pizza oven was in fact used before sent to me or else it would not have smoked that badly upon the initial turn on.

For the money, Newair delivers an amazing machine. I had made my own dough from OO flour (which is really important to achieving a great pizza) and added some tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella. Turned the heat up all the way and in about 3-4 mins , I had a great Neopolitan pie. It'll take a little finesse to get the "perfect" pie but i'm not worried. My first pizza's crust was perfect (some edges a little more burnt than desired) but no biggie. It's a fun and easy endeavor to use the oven with each pizza a learning experience. I'd love to see an 18" wide pizza version.
