Just got a vtx1800t and it needed crash bars. These worked great. They seem to be designed to take the impact of a fall and break before your frame or bike does . it has a bracket that bolts to the frMe behind the radiator that the bars in turn bolt to.. Take your time installing this! Don't tighten anything down until the end. But once its on its super sturdy. And looks great. You can also buy pegs for it.

Love the look of these Bars on my 2005 VTX1800. Havent ridden yet and I have new hiway pegs coming to mount on these bars but as it sits? I'm loving it! Maybe a followup report once I install the hiway pegs and get out on the road a few times. They seem sturdy. Not cheap! One picture without the new bars from last week and a few with the new bars! Took me about 1.5 hrs to install. Make sure to leave the bolts/nuts loose on everything you do and tighten them after ALL nuts/bolts are lined up and inserted into the holes. I could have done the install in less than an hr if I would have not tightened the bolts as I installed them. You need the play to get them all lined up! Oh. And I had to remove the Break Reservoir master cylinder to access the top bolts for the bracket installation. But all in all an easy installation to do.

Looks good, easy install.. I purchase some highway pegs to put on the outside of the bar but the bars are weak when you put your feet on them, it hasn't bent.. looks like I'm going to have to make a lower bar to make it stronger and tie the bars together.. theirs very little bike protection if it falls over..
