Unit so far looks and feels well made. Will see how the plastic screw heads will stand up over time.Be careful of the spring loaded extensions popping up when you loosen the screw to extend the height. The packaging on the other hand is bare minimum. Every thin bubble wrap around the unit in a box. The unit itself slides around in the box. This has lead to the top screw head to break through one end of the box. This sliding around has lead to the base plastic cover of main upright post to brake a piece off. Glued it back on. Not enough of an issue to have it replaced.

Finally, a sturdy stand that is WELL worth the price. These aren't your average stand, they are steel, and heavy, but I no longer worry about putting my lights up 13' and swaying in the breeze. I have many stands from Manfrotto, Avenger, etc. I have C stands, drop spreader stands, regular light stands, but these are now my go-to. I shoot sports on location, in gyms, on fields, and wherever the teams are at. I load them up in a wagon so weight isn't generally my biggest concern, but stability is and these are the most stable I have found. They are also spring-loaded, so they wont crash down if let down quickly(still wouldn't recommend you do that). The friction knobs are plastic, and that's what usually breaks on my stands, but they seem to be well built, and hope if I do need replacements I can find them. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a sturdy stand.

I purchased this tripod as a way of getting UHF/VHF antennas in the air when camping or when deployed for ARES/RACES drills or events. I made a custom fitting using PVC pipe to attach an Ed Fong J-Pole to the top of the 13' tripod and it has been absolutely great. It stays in place, even in moderate wind. This gets my antenna about 15' in the air once the custom fitting is added to the top which is more than adequate. It has a wide enough base so as to not be "tippy".

This is heavier and much more sturdy than most light stands. The tradeoff is weight so I would recommend this for fixed studios, but not for travel purposes *as light stands*.I have used these in place of C-Stands and am quite impresses with their sturdiness. For travel purposes, I'd consider traveling with these *as C-Stands*, and use them alongside lightweight light stands. There is a simple adapter (https://amzn.to/3MOB79H) that makes the top connecter like that of a C Stand that works great. I have used these stands with this connectors and Glide Gear Overhead Camera System (https://amzn.to/3MOB79H) with great success.I've really come to light these stands when extra studyness is required. Changing my 4 star review to a 5.

All'altezza massima oscilla davvero pochissimo.

I bought this tripod for my VEO cam to film my kids soccer games, it has lasted this whole season and the tripod has taken a beaten from the wind, rain, got hit by another tent and got dragged a few feet and still working great. There are way more options out there that are more expensive, and the cheap ones will not stand the wind (I tried). You might consider some sand bags if you want, I don't use them and it works great.

Light weight for a 13ft tripod, easy to carry around, spring loading makes it effortless to deploy. I love this tripod. Only negative, one of the knobs bent as a cord got wrapped around it. Still works fine but that was unexpected. I didn't expect this high quality for the affordable price.

Broke 10 months after I bought it .... And to be fair the only thing I ever put on it is a speed light. I am a wedding photographer, so I do tend to use these frequently. It has been to maybe 15 weddings and only held a speed light. The little bless black plastic piece at the neck just popped off as it was shattered. I've had a manfrotto for years that is still perfect. So needless to say I'm a little disappointed that despite its light workload, it only made it to 10 months old. I can still use it, but it's not as stable and sturdy as I would like. I would never put anything but a speed light on it now. My manfrotto is what I use for my big softboxes or anything that is heavier and I need to be reliable beyond a doubt. I spent less money on this knowing it was only going to hold speed lights and go to weddings for that very purpose. Nonetheless I'm still a little disappointed that at 10 months it no longer is capable of functioning at 100%. The manfrotto is 4 years old and has been to hundreds of weddings and still works perfectly. I understand you get what you pay for, and I'm okay with that. But this is just a warning to others to be careful what you put on one of these if you are going to move them around and use them frequently. It's very heavy duty. It's actually very heavy compared to my others and it's very stable. I'm just very disappointed at the broken plastic piece after 10 months. ....

This is a great stand ! Height is more than I really need but this will not get knocked over by small kids or pets. It has a wide footprint and springs inside each section so tubes can't collapse into one another; a problem I had with other stands after awhile. Knobs and collars are sturdy also so they shouldn't loosen up with use. It is a little heavy - I didn 't pay attention to actual weight compared to my other stands but the sturdiness is worth it.
