Nautica Women's Barn Outerwear Quilted Jacket in Rope XL - is more flattering in person. I really love the look of this jacket. The rope color is neutral to go with various outfits.Excellent seam work - no loose strings, tears, holes, and buttons/zipper function as they should.Top 2 breast pockets are style only not functional pocket. Lower pockets by waist have snap button pockets and slide in pockets for hands or smaller items. No inside pocket but is beautifully lined with light blue and white stripes adding another of class to this jacket.This jacket is machine washable and 100% polyester. Nice trimming fit therefore if larger chest order up a size to zip with comfort.Lightweight to pack easily on trips. We have had several really windy days here and did not feel the wind cut through the coat which was wonderful to know I look great in this coat but functional to keep warm in cooler temps. Highly Recommend!

Since I happen to live in South Texas, there's usually not a need for a great big heavy winter jacket for most of the year. I paired this jacket with a long-sleeved light sweater and was perfectly comfortable during the most recent Texas cold-snap. I'd definitely recommend this to other South Texas ladies out there. :-)

I've always appreciated Nautica for its quality, and this coat perfectly fits my need for a lighter profile option. Unlike the typical bulky "puffy jackets" popular in my area, this one offers a more fitted and feminine style.I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth of this coat. Despite its lightweight and non-bulky design, it's incredibly insulating—perfect for our mild winter days with temperatures around 40F. The waist-length cut is also ideal, offering both style and practicality.The coat's design strikes the perfect balance between functionality and style. The unexpected detail of the smooth, satiny blue pinstripe inner lining adds a touch of elegance. While the breast pockets are just for design (no pocket, only a flap) there are dual waist pockets, a slide in type underneath one that snaps shut with a flap.Overall, I'm delighted with this coat and find myself reaching for it constantly.

I ordered this jacket for my daughter. We’ve had some really cold weather here in Florida and she’s been wearing it a lot lately. She loves it and says it’s actually very warm. The cut of the jacket and the quilting pattern are really very nice. Nautica of course is a good brand but this one reminds me of the equestrian style jackets by Ralph Lauren. The quality is good. The zipper is strong and easy to use. It has a great fit and isn’t bulky at all. It is a very well made and fashionable jacket.

The style is very nice, the look is classic, and the comfort level is outstanding. It’s a warm jacket for sure, great for a California winter. If you live someplace really cold, this may be best suited for spring or fall. The fit was spot on, no issues at all with the sizing. The quality is very obvious to see and feel. The jacket is made by Nautica, and I have had great experiences in the past with this brand. That said, I am not basing my opinion on the past performance of this brand, because you can see for yourself when you inspect the jacket that’s it’s well made and of good quality.We opted for the dark navy blue version of this jacket. It has a contrasting light blue liner that feels very comfortable as well. It appears to have two packets in each side, but the two of the pockets are for appearances only. The chest pockets are just a button and a flap, with no pocket inside. The two bottom pockets however do function properly (they don’t let items easily fall out) and are a decent size for warming hands or storing items.Overall it is a smart looking and stylish jacket that is well made, warm and comfortable. If you like the style, I would highly recommend the jacket.

I would like to live on a farm and have to wear a barn coat to check on the horses and chickens but I live in the suburbs. This coat lets me keep the dream alive : ) I like a mid-weight coat for running errands so you don't sweat driving around in the car. The khaki is a good color. The collar is pretty stiff, tho it stands up straight and tall! Nice striped lining. If I did live on a farm I would like the pockets to be a bit bigger for carrying farm implements around or seed packets or whatever farmers keep in their pockets. (my iPhone+ fits ok)

I live in Texas and finding a jacket that is not too heavy, yet still thick enough to to throw on when the temps dip into the 40's is a challenge. This Nautica Barn jacket is the perfect weight for what I need. It provides warmth but does not feel too heavyweight when I'm wearing it. I like the casual look of the jacket and the quilted exterior fabrication that is great for running errands and taking a walk. I also like the "rope" color because it is so neutral, I can throw it on over anything. The quality of the workmanship is top notch and the zip front design with 2 big front pockets is great, especially since the pocket has a snap and easily holds my iphone and car fob. I'm glad I ordered this versatile jacket and know that it will be my go-to for the short cooler season we have in the south.
