This kit is easy to install as long as you take your time and have patience. It looks great and fits awesome and feels rigid.Amando has really good tips below and the adjustment of the brake light switch is a MUST (screw it up not down to make it looser.)Another good tip is once you get the ubolts and brackets installed, pick a side you want to start with and remove the pegs with the 14mm bolts, leave them in the receiver and line up the chrome bracket, once its lined up run one or both of the 6mm hex bolts loosely into the upper ubolt frame to hold it in place and then fix the 2 14mm bolts back up. This will help everything from floping around on you.Keep in mind the shifter side is WAY easier than the brake side, make sure you take your time with the brakes and have the bottom bolt lined up PERFECTLY, you will strip it and go in crooked if you don't. Additionally the brake side ubolt is easier to put in because the horn isn't there, but you do have to be extra cautious not to catch any wires in the ubolt when installing it.Totally worth it

There are not to many crash bar options for this model in good quality. Installation took around 40. Min, just follow the attached instructions. Good stuff. I tried other brand and gave up on installation.

Look very nice and well made. They are easy to install. They don’t interfere with the foot controls. I’m very pleased with them.

These bars fit my 2003 Honda Shadow very well. Only difficulty I had was due to my right inner foot peg weldment being slightly bent from being dropped, so we had to bend it back a bit to get the long bolts to line up into the chassis, just in case anyone else has this issue, check to see if any parts seem bent or won’t line up straight.

This is a very high quality, custom made highway bar that looks great on the bike. These bars bolt securely to the frame and do not require any drilling. If installed correctly, they will not cause the brake or shift lever to bind. The manufacturer provides clear, well written, illustrated instructions that work well, if you have an assistant when installing the highway bars. If you'll be installing them without an assistant, I suggest you incorporate the procedure I describe below.Remove the screw that holds the radiator, and install the 1/2" spacer between the radiator mounting tab and the motorcycle chassis, replace and tighten the screw.Remove the screw that holds the horn, and install the 3/16" spacer between the tab and mounting bracket. Turn the horn so it points down, but does not touch the chassis, replace and tighten the screw (or use the new screw provided with the highway bars).I suggest you start each of the four nuts onto the U-bolts, and run them all the way down before attempting to mount on the bike. This cleans the paint off of the threads of the U-bolt, and makes it much easier to get started in the cramped space on the bike.Unscrew the bolts that hold the foot peg/brake lever assembly, then carefully lay the foot peg/brake lever assembly out of the way, and attach the frame bracket and highway bar tightly enough to hold them in place, but loose enough to allow repositioning as needed. Once you get the brake lever to pivot the way it wants to, the bolts will go right back in.Follow this same procedure to install the shift lever side.Continue following the manufacturer's instructions. The instructions fail to mention that although you did everything correctly, the brake light will stay on; because in order to install the highway bar, you moved the brake pedal out approximately 1/4" increasing the tension on the brake light switch spring.... adjust the brake light switch by simply turning the adjustment wheel counterclockwise, while holding the switch body stationary, until the light just goes out.I would recommend this product to friends and family.

This is supposed to be a custom fit for my 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit 750DC, but it did not fit at all. There was no room for my brake assembly. It pulled it tight next to my exhaust pipe and did not work anymore. I don't see how there was any other way to install it. I followed the directions and it just did not fit. I read how other people with the same bike did manage to get it installed without any problems, so I'm just not sure what happened. Now I have to pay for the return shipping and will probably be charged an expensive restocking fee.
